They found out that it was freezing up, and recommended that I just need to switch it off, then put it back it on again because it was just freezing up.

Contacted home warranty company Sunday afternoon to report AC not cooling. Comfort H/AC called to schedule for Tuesday 5/21 between 10 and 2 pm. They were kind enough to call me prior to leaving their job so I did not have to leave work for the entire 4 hours. However, when the team arrived, they took one look at the unit and said, "It's frozen, we can't do anything with it. You'll have to reschedule." The older "gentleman" quite rudely stated that I should have turned the unit off. I am NOT trained in H/AC, so I did not know to do that. The young repairman was very polite and told the older man, "She was trying to keep the house cool." I called to reschedule and suggested that in future, they may advise the owner look at the unit, and if frozen, turn it off so that it can thaw before the repairmen arrive. The scheduler very rudely stated that it was NOT her "responsibility to educate people about their units. Homeowners need to know what's wrong with their units before they make a service call." It would take a total of 10 seconds for someone at the service center to tell a homeowner to check the unit for ice and turn it off. It would save a great amount of time lost from work for the homeowner and wasted service time for the repairmen. I now have to wait until THURSDAY, TWO more days without AC for something that could have been so easily avoided.
Update 6/2/2013: With outside temperatures in the mid 80s to low 90s, my inside temp will not get below 79-80. Unacceptable when thermostat is set at 72. House does not cool to 72 until 11:30 PM. Can't imagine what it will be like when temps reach into the 100s!!

Used my home warranty service because I suspected (at least according to another company here, which I'll definitely write about) our furnace was leaking and comfort heating and air was dispatched to our home.
The gentleman promptly came out and tested our vents for CO and found nothing, and also spoke with me on the phone. I voiced some concerns that had been basically "sold" to me by the other company, and essentially this guy set the record straight with me (I appreciated the honesty from the guy -- he basically told me what the other company was up to without actually being insulting to them). I didn't mind at all paying the service call fee of $60 to get a third opinion (second being from gas company) - saved me $2400 because my furnace was fine.
I haven't used them for any "major" work so I can't comment much on that.

I haven’t used them this year but I have used them last year. They are punctual and professional. The quality of their work is good. I have a home warranty and I paid I think probably around $120. When I am on the home warranty list, some companies don’t care at times if they do a good job for me or not but they have been awesome. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.
