Mr. Watson promised to clean up to my requirements. We walked the lot and discussed everything I wanted. He was PR perfect. He PROMISED to come with his two employees. Said he would do everything requested. When he gave me the $225.00 bid my husband wanted to get another bid before proceeding. When we called him back he sent two young men who did very little of what I wanted. They blew leaves into my neighbor's yard (one of the things I insisted could not be done). They blew leaves into grown cover. They blew leaves in to cane and onto pine mulch around azaleas. These were specific things I had mentioned not to do. They failed to get a whole section clean. They did not blow the grass area. The many areas where they picked up their leaves had debris left not cleaned up. There were leaves and pine cones everywhere. They tried to leave many bags and limbs on my lot and only after I got my husband to come out and insist did they take them. They said the city could pick them up. We are outside the city limits. We do not have city services. When I called Mr. Watson, he said the whole deal changed when we did not accept offer the day of our conversation. He said my husband insisted on having it done quickly which was not the case as we waited two weeks before it was finally done. I questioned the two young men and they said all they had to do was blow out flower beds--that was the only instructions they had from Mr. Watson. When I called Mr. Watson back again telling him I would prefer adjusting the bid and paying more --he said just send the workers back ---don't pay me anything. I requested that he come look at the job--that I thought he would agree with me--he refused to do that. I made out a check for $225..00 as I am an honest person---Mr. Watson apparently is not. I see now that the artful move saying not to pay him anything was a ploy. Probably been used many times before. He knew I would hold up my end of the agreement. At one point in my conversation, I told Mr. Watson, my mistake was in judging character. To this he was most upset, however, he was completely fine with not fulfilling his commitment to me. My husband is 88 and blind, I am 77. I have never asked for a service that I did not pay for. Guess I still have a lot to learn at 77. I could not possibly recommend him to any other individual. In the past I have never given a bad recommendation to anyone before. Never had one who failed his commitment to this degree.

Excellent from first call, arrival for estimate & services.  Work was done quickly and well, even though back yard was very overgrown.

Mr. Watson arrived on time as promised for estimate and for work the next day.

He and his crew (all family members) were professional, friendly, and clean!  Past providers have been slovenly and even nasty.

I am so glad I consulted Angie's List to find this super service!

Bj would inform me that he would come than never show. I received a text saying that I was to much of a hassle and would no longer do the lawn after he was suppose to be there two days ago. He is very rude and only cares about you if you pay hundreds of dollars. Text from Bj: Because of the weather properties are taking longer than usual. Your property is not the only one that has gotten tall but I do work off of a schedule and others are before yours. Thank you but I am unwilling to take care of your properties.

I have contacted Mr. James about doing some landscaping and maintaining my lawn at our home. He answered promptly and we coordinated a time for him to come out and give me an estimate. He arrived on time and his wife was with him also. They were both completely professional and really nice people. He quoted me a very reasonable price and was open to any suggestions I had. This was my initial contact with him and we are scheduled for the work tomorrow. Based on my initial contact with Mr. James I expect great things. I will post another update after completion.

James came out after I found him on Angie's list and phoned him. He examined our 1.67 Acs. suburban lot and gave me a very reasonable quote to bring our yard up to snuff and maintain it with bi-weekly visits. The service has been outstanding and we plan to continue using his company as long as possible. I highly recommend his company. He is polite, personable and quite professional.

BJ's, after an initial major clean-up, has been maintaining our lawn ever since.   They do the work promptly, make sure that everything is properly bagged, and they work quickly for a reasonable price.   I highly recommend.

BJ'S YARD SERVICE HAS BEE AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE.  I WENT THRU SEVERAL OTHER YARD SERVICE PROVIDERS BEFORE LANDING ON THIS ONE.  THEY ARE PUNCTUAL, THEY DO A THOROUGH JOB, AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN COURTEOUS.  I HAVE HIRED THEM TO COME ON A REGULAR SCHEDULE TO TAKE CARE OF MY MOTHER-IN-LAWS YARD AND SHE IS TO OLD TO DO THIS HERSELF AND I AM TO BUSY.

Service is phenomenal! I get a text reminder the day prior to service and unless the weather is bad, he keeps our set schedule of every 2 weeks. Great businessman. Will continue to use him!

I found BJ's Lawn & Landscaping on Angie's List recently and gave them a call yesterday. James came by my home and quoted a price for the work that needed to be done. He and his crew returned early this morning and revived my tired, overgrown lawn. Everything looked fantastic! Thank you!

I took bids on a couple of A listed companies on Angie's List for 2 properties since I had a new purchase. They have only come out once but they did a good job for a better price than my previous company that is also A rated on Angie's List. Mr. Watson always answers the phone when I call and is very polite and professional. I am pleased.

Excellent, no complaints at all.  Highly recommended.

:James called me back immediately and came out the same day to give an estimate. The crew arrived exactly  on time and completed the work in almost 3 hours. They did an incredible job clearing away monkey grass, poison ivy, dead bushes, and even snakes (!!!). The price was extremely reasonable for such a labor intensive job.
I will have them come back in the spring and plant the bed.

When I called James for an estimate to mow the yard, I was shocked that he quoted me $65! Because the quote was so low, I expected that he would just mow the yard. Our equipment wasn't working, so nothing had been done to the yard for several months; so I was embarrassed to even show him the entire lawn.
I have an acre of land, and 1/3 of the yard was a few feet high.
There are 2 houses, a double garage, carport, 4 storage buildings, and a four-stall barn on the property; along with a long driveway and lots of sidewalks/cement. Other items to be mowed around are a motor home, boat, and trailer; including a fence that separates the back 1/3 of the property.
He came on the day promised, and the job was completed quickly.
When he asked me to check to see if everything was acceptable, I couldn't believe my eyes!
Not only did he mow, he weed-eated around EVERYTHING. He edged around all of the cement, clipped the hedges, and blew off everything, including the patio and carport. It looked amazing!
For the work he performed, I would have expected to be charged around $100-$150.
Because I was so impressed, I asked him for a quote to pull everything off the fences from the fence separating the two yards forward.
The quote was $125. That was a great price as well. It hadn't been done in so long that you couldn't even see the fence for all of the weeds growing on the fences.
On 6-12-2013, he came to do the fences and the entire yard again. Again, the work was spectacular! I don't think our yard has EVER looked so beautiful. I wish there was a way to share before/after photos because the results are so awesome.
The next time he comes to do the yard, he will clean the fences on the back 1/3 of the property.
James is very professional and courteous.
My mom is 72 years old, and s always stressing over the yard. My mom is now so pleased?
and believe me, this doesn't happen often...she complains about EVERYTHING!

My husband and I live in Tennessee, but own and rent out a home in Bossier City. Once our tenants moved out we put our house on the market. I called BJs on a Thursday in need of a lawn service to maintain lawn and flower beds until home is sold. They were very prompt showing up first thing Saturday morning to cut grass and clean out flower beds and showed up again on Sunday morning to plant the flowers. They were very professional and the quality of work was exactly what our house needed!! They have continued to maintain our property and since we live out of town BJ will send updated pictures of our property after service is completed, and then mails out our invoice. He is very reliable and willing to work with us even though we live out of state.

I couldn't have been happier with the work. Everything looked great, so much so that we're having them come every month.

The previous service we had used, had let our property deteriorate and get in terrible condition, neglecting the back of our property.  BJ's Lawn Service faced a daunting challenge.  They arrived as scheduled and performed in a most professional manner.  James assured me that he would not leave until I was completly satisfied and outlined the work they were going to perform.  He asked if I had any preferences as to what or how I would like things to be done.  I told him how I liked things to look and explained some problem areas.  I was blown away at the job they did.  Having done the yard work myself for a number of years, I can truly appreciate the amount of work and effort that goes into cleaning and doing the yard.  BJ's Lawn Service is AWESOME!!!!!  They are true professionals and it shows in the quality of their work and the pride they take in doing a FANTASTIC job!  Before they left, James asked if I had any questions as to what or how they did.  He explained what they had done and what they would do on each subsequent visit and assuring me that they would not leave until I was completely satisfied.  My only regret is not having called him earlier.
I would not hesitate to recommend BJ;s Lawn and Landscaping to anyone who is lookiong for a true professional that takes pride in his work and wants their yard to be 1 of the outstanding ones in the neighborhood

We have been using BJ for around six months or so. We found him through my new next door neighbors who have used him for about a year or so ago at their last home. We are very thankful that we have met him. We now have him on a schedule for around every 2 weeks. If we need him sooner, all I have to do is call him and alot of times it will be done the same day. He not only does the normal mow the lawn and edge it and we always does a little extra stuff for us for a very reasonable price. Him and his team are great. I've never had any problems with him what so ever. So if you want someone that will take care of your yard as if it's his own, he's a great person to call. If you have to wait a few days to get to you, believe me, it will be worth the weight.
