Petstar Animal Care

The quality of care and the attention given to this family pet is beyond comparison, in my own experience of 30 years. I've always owned rat terriers and plain-old cats, so I've had some experiences. Some of them have been nightmares, others have been okay. None have matched the professional and personal excellence I've encountered at Petstar. The snakebite was bad and had to be followed by stitches, for the flesh in the area had sloughed off. Beautiful work, this man could do cosmetic surgery on poodles! Here are the things that most impress me about Petstar. First, you can always expect first-rate medical expertise, these folks are intelligent and well-informed, up-to-date and they routinely maintain contact with others in their field with special expertise (Who knew there was a veterinary hematologist?). You will get no better care in Louisiana. Second, they like the animals they treat and the animals know it. My terrier had routinely run for cover when he saw his leash. It meant a vet visit and he did not like vets. Even kind and personable vets. I do not lie when I say that now when the leash comes out, my dog runs to the door and then makes a dash for the car, which he had always avoided. He trots up to the door of Petstar and impatiently waits for me to open it. The assistants and the receptionists are always friendly and he goes to them readily. The assistants themselves are well-trained and experienced. Should an emergency occur when the doctor was out, I would feel comfortable with their first aid. My terrier even hops onto the scales for them. A miracle in my experience. The entire facility just seems a happy, pet-loving place. Third, all there care about the person who is owned by the pet and foster in them an attitude that ultimately resounds to the benefit of the pet. They instill confidence. Finally, the facility is conspicuously clean, from the waiting room to the examining rooms. Everyone on staff assures it stays that way. For extras, you can expect quick call-backs, reasonable prices, good prices on things like flea-and-tick and heart worm preventatives and pet foods. I've never had a bad experience in the five years I've taken pets to Petstar. I expect none. And I've never heard of anyone whose experience has been other than mine. They don't give a rating high enough for these folks.
