After only a few months the unit flooded my entire dining room while I was on Vacation. I called this company and they came out promptly and had a factory representative from Trane to check out the unit. It was determined that the condensate drain line was too small. Technicians came out and replaced the drain line to the next larger size, in the process, broke some other piping under my house, resulting in raw sewage leaking under my house. Also, the condensate drain line that was replaced, was thrown in the back of my attic and wasn't found until much later. (Never any mention by this company to pay for the damage due to flooding) The next summer, the unit flooded my dining room once again. Again I called this company and they came out reviewed the problem and told me that there was not enough containment pans under the unit and placed 3 pans under this unit with float switches. I was told that the problem was that I was not putting chlorox in the drain lines every month. If that was the case, why the 3 drain pans??? I was sent a bill for nearly $500 for this install which I protested with the owner and did not have to pay. I changed my service contract to another company during the next couple of years, at which time I reported to the new contractor that the unit did not seem to be keeping up with the heat demand in the coldest part of the winter. When this technician began checking the unit, he realized that the electric "secondary" heat system had never been connected. He connected it and it has worked ever since. This installation of the pans seemed to "fix" the problem for about 2 years and once again my dining room was flooded by this unit. I was so tired of dealing with this company but decided to call them just to let them know what had happened. I was told that since they were not performing the Preventive Maintenance on the unit, they were no longer responsible for this unit. Again I was told that I need to pour chlorox in the drains monthly. As could be expected, I would not recommend this company to sweep my driveway, much less install an Air Conditioner for me.
