Hearne Home Inspection

Scott was very thorough and did an excellent job! I was very happy with him and would recommend him highly. He went back twice for re-inspection with no charge.

Scott worked me in ASAP. I called on either a Thursday or Friday and the appointment was made for Monday. He actually arrived a little early and got right to work. He was very professional and explained everything that he found. I received an 18 page color inspection document a few hours after he left the camp. His fee would have been $300, but the extra $50 was for the extra long travel time to/from the camp.

Arrived on time, did a very thorough home inspection, provided a very detailed and complete report of the results...totally professional. Definitely recommend.

Inspection of first home purchased. Inspector seemed knowledgeable and open to questions. When asked about an issue he was able to recommend a contractor to fix the problem (even had their business card on hand). In the report, he did mention that there were missing closet doors in the 2nd bedroom, but missed that there was a missing closet door in the Master bedroom (doorway was covered with a curtain). He also mentioned that there was no smoke detector when there was one (it was an old-school smoke detector). These were both minor issues. He pointed out a serious problem with the heater venting system. He strongly recommended a programmable thermostat to save on energy bills. Noted the absence of GFCIs in kitchen, Master bedroom, and outside entry. Went onto the roof to inspect the roofing material and looked underneath the patio/deck. He had a color printed report in a cover as well as e-mailed the report to myself and my realtor. It contained multiple color photos and listed all the problems and satisfactory issues with the home. After he read through the report, I wish he would have shown me the issues he noted in the report. He left it to me to go to the problem areas myself, he followed and then demonstrated the problems. He was able to answer questions I had about the home that were not listed on the report. Overall the experience went well and I would recommend him to future home buyers.
