FIELDS ELECTRICAL SVC

When at our first meeting I explained all the trouble I had had with no one being interested in working on the place and made it very much apparent to him that time WAS an issue. He quoted me a price along with a work time of roughly 2 1/2 weeks (The walls were already open for them to run the wiring and we were strictly paying for the service. We provided all the wire, lights and everything that was needed. The guys he has working for him are great, they worked hard. BUT my issue was their management, Mr. Field. For the first few weeks they were there every day but sometimes no longer than five minutes at a time. Literally! They would swing by to drop something off. This was a direct result of their management. The owner books and sends them to the jobs. This mess went on for 2 months!!! Every time I would call they would be so nice which really makes it hard to get on their "backsides" about the work not being completed in the time I was told. Or even close to it I might add. I wasn't highly upset yet because I too was working on the house at the time but when the summer started to approach, they offered to do the ac unit and I agreed because as you can imagine a closed up house with an open attic can get over 100 degrees by noon. Again I got "2 weeks to finish". There is Way TOO Much to list so I will sum it up in short by saying..... It took about 2 1/2 months. After a few irrate phone calls I was PROMISED my ac would be finished on a Monday and two Tuesdays they had not even shown up. Much less called to inform me. Very UN-professional! At this point I was almost at a breakdown and got my husband involved. They were there the next day and finished for him. Extra info that you readers may want to know: The crew was pretty good about picking up their trash and cleaning up behind themselves. We could have probably saved money had we paid them for eveything all at once. But because we provided the wiring I think they wasted quite a bit. There is close to a small roll's worth of wiring that I wouldn't have had to buy had they taken up some slack. There are "loops" of wiring in my attic that I have never seen in other attics. But it passed inspection. Mr. Field only came to the house one time once the work had started, that is until my husband got involved. He showed up himself to get the a/c finished. Mr. Field's seems like a genuinely good guy and maybe I just caught him at a very busy time but I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone. Had I been told up front that the job would be weeks vs. 14 days and had they called me when they never showed I would have given them a C for overall.
