In 2017, we had some issues with our fireplace where it came out the roof. American Men Roofing (AMR) was contacted, gave us a free quote, performed work on time, and cleaned up after themselves. After the recent storm (October 2019), I contacted AMR again via Angie’s List over the weekend. They responded with a message on Angie’s list and called and left me a message on my cell phone. I told them I needed a quote and they came out the next day and sent the quote. I normally get two or three quotes at a minimum, but because of the great work and great service conducted in 2017, I only got one quote. I thought the quote was expensive, but it could be I think everything is expensive. The work was conducted three days prior to the date given once the contract was signed. Once again the work was conducted in a very professional manner with great service from Leigh Ann and Craig.

Everything was complete in a timely manner. Estimate was given the day after I called, and the repairs made just a couple of days after that. Reliable, courteous, and reasonable price for a small job. I won’t hesitate to call them back when I need the whole roof replaced one day.

A couple of vents on the roof needed repair and a few tiles needed to be replaced. It was a small job and didn't take them very long to complete. Craig was very professional and went the extra mile to help me by taking pictures of what needed to be done. He was able to schedule the work to be done in a short amount of time which was awesome since water was dripping through the roof into my attic.

In replacing my roofs it was found that some soffit, facia, and siding also needed to be done due to water and old termite damage. It was all done well and the cost was very reasonable. No more worries. Answered all my questions and was very quick to address any concerns that I had. I had had two other estimates but theirs was the most complete for an excellent price. Excellent work and hand nailed!

American Men Roofing gave me a detailed estimate outlining all of the work and materials that would be used to complete my roof replacement. The workers were experienced and the materials were of the highest quality. The estimate was fair and the work started on the date agreed upon. The workers were professional and there was no mess left afterwards. All of the work stated was completed and the roof looks great. I will recommend American Men Roofing to anyone who needs to replace their roof.

They showed up on time and finished in one day. They brought a trailer and placed all trash into it and hauled it away. You couldn't even tell that they had removed the old roof. All of the workers were professional.I have already recommended American Roofing to one of my coworkers and he used them on a garage extension.

Initially we were very pleased, but after a year found that the work was not done correctly and despite assurances that he would come and check the issues we had identified, he never did so.

"Mr. [Member Name Removed] was not having any problems with the roofing work we did. We did not do any gutter work for him, he hired someone else. He told me that he had some nails that had worked out at the top of his siding. (Especially in older homes, this is usually caused by vibrations caused by big trucks riding down the [Member Information Removed], and there has been a lot of construction in his area.) I was going to go out there the Friday before the last hurricane threat, but I got tied up trying to prepare for the hurricane. I am sorry that I couldn't make it. The work we performed on the siding was given a one year warranty. It has been more than one year since the work has been completed."

This was a relatively complicated roofing job because it involved two flat roofs at different levels merging with a conventional shingled roof. There were numerous transitions that had to be properly flashed to ensure a watertight seal. I got several bids, including this one by American Men Roofing. All the bidders had A ratings from Angie's List. American Men Roofing quoted a torch-on type of roof for the flat sections, which I liked as it is proven technology and preforms well when properly applied. Before the start of the job, I did a walk-thru with Craig, the owner, to discuss how the job would be progressed, especially on how to handle the transitions. Before the job, we agreed on how to proceed with the work. In particular, Craig showed me mistakes made on the previous roof installations and how he would avoid them and use improved methods in his work. The crew showed themselves to be expert installers of shingle and torch-on roofing, as well as carpentry repairs. Extensive repair work was required to replace rotten framing and decking. The crew worked very well together as a team. The job took four days, as removal of the old flat roof and required repairs took a good deal of time. The shingle roof only required one day. I spent a good amount of the time watching them work and they were very responsive to my questions and concerns. They were very professional and took great pride in their work. Every day, Craig would update me on the progress and provided cost update so that there would be no surprises at the end of the job. The cost had to be adjusted daily due to the repair work required because of rotted wood uncovered as the old roof was being removed. This was specified in the contract and was expected. The roof replacement took place in February, but they had to return about two months later to put the final aluminum coating on the flat roof (the two month delay is required to allow the roof to weather before final coating). I am very pleased with the work, the competency of the company and crew, and the results, and I would highly recommend them again.

Tear off existing shingle, roof inspection roof decking. Install Aquahide Synthetic Underlayment on entire roof and Ice and Water Shield in valleys. Install shingle roof with 30 year Atlas Pinnacle Fiberglass shingles, algae resistance (Scotchgardf). Supply and install Atlas Pro ridge and new ridge. Supply and install 4 new 3-in -1 roof jacks and one new galvanized roof jack. Clean out gutters, run magnet on ground to pick up any loose nails, and haul away all trash. Waiting on the warranty from Atlas

Job went very well, more rotten wood members than quoted yet we knew the roof was really bad off due to ceiling collapse in an upper bedroom and rain water pouring in during heavy storms. We had a rocky start at first, however it appears to have been a material supplier problem that delayed the job start. Took two and a half days from start to finish on a three tier roof (I think it's three) and I was personally very impressed with how little nails and roofing staples I found left behind, finding only five after a few days of searching is nearly unheard of! I wish American Men Roofing was the folk I hired after hurricane Ivan took out my roof in Florida back in the day, as I was picking up nails and staples for weeks and even wound up with some in my tires. Kudos to ya'll from both myself and my grandmother on a job well done!!!

Craig Gironda and all the guys that work for him were very friendly and professional. On the last job (2 so far) he did for me, he did things that were outside the contract without extra charge. All together an agreeable experience. I can now relax when it rains.
