IKE'S FIX IT SHOP

Brought the mower in on July 27. On September 9 they called to say that they couldn't read the date of purchase for warranty work. I had contacted manufacturer before bringing it in and mfgr had set up an account or file on my issue. I have Ike's all that information. After I contacted mfgr again Ike's acknowledged it was warranty work. But, they botched the repair and now say it's going to require a transmission replacement. They are refusing to return my mower or $75 deposit until the mfgr agrees to pay for the defective work they did. When I complained, they told me not to come back. They certainly don't have to worry about that. UPDATE: Ike's just called to refund my deposit and said I could pick up (unrepaired) mower. I'll take to another authorized service center.

Dropped my pressure washer in May and have yet to have it repaired, it's now September. They do not provide follow up calls nor do they provide any information, as to when a resolution will be reached. The only information I've received is that warranty claims are slow, and they will call me back the following day. THEY NEVER RETURN MY CALLS! They charge $75.00 regardless, just to receive it in their shop.

Turned out to be too costly so decided not to repair. The problem I had with them they were VERY slow, had it for at least three weeks before they even looked at it. I called them multiple times to get a status, each time was told someone would call me back, they never did. The last time I called just so happened they were looking at my mower then so I stayed on the phone to wait for the repair estimate. Very disappointed in their communications and length of time to just look at the mower. I went elsewhere with my mower.

Ike Fixit said he put in a new electrical box (which he later said it didn't need) and cleaned out the carburetor which he would bill the manufacturer. They said I should have bought an extended warranty, I said they should sell a product that works. I tried many times to use Angie's list not only to fill out a report but to find dealers and had no success. maybe in time, there will be merchants to check into.
