I had a wonderful experience. From the design of the backyard to choosing plants to actual installation; everything went smoothly. Their designer Nick Musso is a great person to work with. He listened to my ideas very carefully and created a design which needed very little input from me. Everything was explained to me very clearly. Their charges were reasonable as well. Overall, my experience with Green Escapes Nursery was awesome. People have been praising my backyard. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

This job was to completely remove the existing front of house landscaping and replacing it with a new design. The first step was a visit to my home to review the job, define the scope and desired spending range. Within a few days we were contacted to review the plan. A sit down to review the design included pictures of the elements to be installed. The design was exactly what we wanted as was the price. One element recommended was a one foot rock/stone barrier between the landscaping the the slab. Very good idea. The installation was done per the agreed schedule and was completed in a timely manner despite the weather. The crew did a good job cleaning up. A visit by Green Escapes was done about a month after the installation to ensure everything installed looked healthy. All in all a good and easy experience. Would use them again and highly recommend them.

The staff and crew works very well with you, understood exactly what we wanted and offered suggestions during the design which improved the overall outcome. Have used them three times for different projects. First job was front yard landscaping approx. 15 years ago. Second job included pavers around the pool four years ago. This year they extended the pavers and built a fire pit with landscaping. Throughout the years staff helped with suggestions on plants for flower beds when plants were sold retailed. Would highly recommend them. Our son has used them along with his homeowners association.

We had complete front and side garden landscaping done with lighting and irrigation system. All employees working our the project were professional and worked through the heat and rainy conditions. The curb appeal of our house looks so fresh. Can't wait until spring to see the beautiful colors from the plants. We are currently working with Green Escapes for a backyard project.

Project included a 90 ton rock garden with root barrier underneath 21 large cypress trees plus a 260' boardwalk along the lake front with deck and tree lighting. Project was professionally designed by their licensed landscape architect. Project also included removal of yard-side cypress knees that were damaging our yard and hindering it's use. Timing and scheduling of this multi-phase project was very impressive and quite efficient.

I have never hired a more professional, dependable and talented company. We not only did landscape front and back yard, we did hardscape also. We would not change a thing.

We recently finished a whole house remodel which included removing all the old landscaping to provide construction access around the house. Therefore, we had a clean slate to design and install landscaping in the front yard and around the back patio area. We contacted several companies to provide proposals, and was totally impressed with Don B's initial 1-1/2 hour walk thru process to propose a bed design and plant selection. The competition spent all of 10 min. Then there was a followup meeting at the office to finalize plant selection, construction schedule, budget and payment terms. The actual work included demo-ing all the old grass and the roots from 2 pesky crepe myrtles to prepare for the beds. Installation of an irrigation system for watering. bedding material, gravel drainage barrier, the plants and mulching material. The plants were installed during the heat of the summer and only one out of hundreds of plants didn't survive... but was replaced with a more suitable selection. The crew was excellent. Steadily working in all that heat and ensuring that the site was cleaned up each evening. They asked for layout clarification if warranted and finished the work on schedule. Several supervisors and the owner visited the site upon completion to ensure I was satisfied. Bottomline. I have dealt with many contractors over the last year and a half with varied results. My experience with Green Escapes was excellent.

We decided in the Spring of 2017 to undertake a major landscaping project in both the front and back yards. This included new flower beds, walls around the beds, a sidewalk, all new grass, irrigation, a new drainage pattern, a large patio with pavers, lights, all new plants, and mulching. The owner of Green Escapes immediately presented us with a number of options and work began in June 2017. What really impressed us was the work ethic of the work crew assigned just to our project. They worked tirelessly and produced an extremely professional outcome in less than two months. I can't say enough about how enjoyable it was to work with the crew.People have stopped numerous times to compliment the results. The crew also offered ideas as the work progressed and we accepted all their ideas which really enhanced the outcome. What we really liked was the ease with which the owner worked with us to create a truly beautiful new yard. We are so pleased with the outcome that we are going to enter into a maintenance program with the company. It is my sincere pleasure to highly recommend Green Escapes to everyone who reads this review.

Exceptional great company to work with.

Our committee for First United Methodist Church of Gonzales hired Green Escapes Nursery to design and install a patio area around a memorial columbarium. They came up with a design that was within our available budget, could be installed in stages while looking finished and professional at each stage. Good quality work and they would not call our project complete until we were satisfied. They even helped with a washout issue due to roof rain shed into the new area by installing sod around new patio area, which solved the issue. This was an appreciated extra effort.

Green Escapes Nursery is a first class company. We are so satisfied with the end result and the entire process it took to get us to what we have imagined our front yard would look like. After the August 2016 flood our landscape was left in shambles and we decided to look for a company to do the job. After many bidders have come out we have decided to go with Mr. Don and Green Escapes. The planning process was so professional that we knew we picked the world class company. The consultations, plans and detailed breakdown of what to expect and when to expect it was amazing. The crew worked so well and so efficiently that it was a true pleasure watching them do their job. Every night after they left, the area was left so clean one would never know that there was a major landscaping work being performed. We had lighting, drainage, irrigation and fountain installed and it looks absolutely amazing. I love my front yard now! Thank you for all you have done. We put in a pool over the winter and had Green Escapes landscape around it. My back yard looks like an oasis thanks to them. They presented detailed drawings and were very professional. They had a quick turn around time and the yard turned out incredible. We were so happy with it we had them replace and re-landscape the majority of our front yard a few months later. Real estate agents selling lots around our home have told us all their clients comment on how pretty our yard is. Couldn't be happier!

Well organized and detailed project planner, landscape crew goes above and beyond the work scope, completed my project in stages: landscaping, flagstone walking paths, installation of river silt and sod, flagstone patio area, irrigation, and night lighting, not too mention the routine upkeep of said items.
