All staff was very attentive. Dr. Amy Grayson was wonderful, kind and compassionate. Talked about different possible treatments so I felt I had choices regarding treatment and costs. Would definitely recommend them.

Our Shih-Tzu Andy is well treated and has all his annual shots. Is groomed here and we get our meds. My real story involves our Co-Co. We rescued CoCo in June 2012. We thought we rescued a healthy dog. Dutchtown has performed numerous tests and worked with us until we ask them to stop as we could no longer afford to search for answers. I found their fees very reasonable. I have also found Dr. Grayson and the other vet to be very knowledgeable and kind. Their continued care and CoCo's will to live has brought her back from the brink of death. I wouldn't consider any other vet. I love their staff.

Dutchtown Animal Hospital has been an excellent resource for our pets. We frequently board our dogs there, and we have used them for vet services as well. Our dog was having issues with his jaw, and Dr. Amy Grayson was very thorough in her examinations. She recommended we try an inexpensive solution before scheduling surgery - her recommendations worked and helped us avoid a very expensive surgery. Dutchtown Animal Hospital has also performed dental cleanings on our pets, and their price is far less than other animal hospitals. Our pets are always happy after boarding, and the boarding prices are very fair. They have late hours a few days a week as well, and always try to accomodate me with early/late drop off and pick up. I am thankful to have such a nice animal hospital so close to our home.

On April 12th we dropped our dog (a 5 1/2 golden retriever puppy) to be boarded for one night. We instructed the office manager, Nita Kleyle, that we wanted to pre-pay since our friend was going to pick-up our dog the next day. We paid her ~$34 for two days just in case our friend was late picking up the dog. Prior to April 12th, we called and made the reservation for 4 nights but changed to 1 night on the day of. On the 12th, when dropping our dog off, I signed a paper for the services to be rendered which was for boarding only. On the 13th, we received an email from our friend that our dog had been shaved and she had to pay $40 to pick her up. The next day, I called the company and spoke with Kim Lemane who assured me that it was not her fault that this happened and the company would refund the $40. I told her it was completely unacceptable that they shaved my dog without permission. I also informed Kim that we would be in on Monday to discuss the issue with one of the owners. On Monday, April 16th, we picked up our dog from our friend and headed straight to the Vet's office. On arrival we asked to meet with one of the owners Dr. Any Grayson and we did so in one of the exam rooms. We attempted to explain our complaint, but she stopped us and dialed up Nita on the phone who was out for the day as well as Kim. After attempting to put it on speaker phone she handed the phone to me and left the room. I asked Nita who authorized the shaving of the dog, she claimed we did but she did not put in the order and the order had no initials by it in the system. After our conversation, the Vet, Amy returned to the room to ask if the matter was resolved. I told her no and that I felt her employees were lying. Before we could express ourselves any further, Amy informed us she had another animal that needed attention and she left the room and slammed the door in our face. Later an employee brought us a check for $40 with no explanation as to why this happened. Amy, Nita and Kim's accounts of the incident are all different.
Our puppy had to be treated 2 additional times for fleas, had cuts all over her body and ears, razor burn sores all over her back, and developed a bleeding, bacterial infection that is currently being treated with prescription shampoo and antibiotics.
The companies response is that we requested the "shave down" and that I "secretly" ordered the grooming and then lied to my husband about it. They have no record of who entered the order for the grooming although their policy is for the ordering employee to initial the order entry. We only asked for the grooming fee back since we did not order it and have not asked for any reimbursement for additional flea treatments or bacterial medications. All we ever wanted was a simple "I am sorry and what can we do to make it better." I have never experienced a business with such a lack of customer service and lack of integrity.
