About us

I groom all dogs and cats of any size. I also board small animals in their own suites, we have a doggie door and fenced in yard so all dogs are allowed to roam free durning the day,inside and out. At night they are kept in their own suite. we only have 11 suites so book early as we do stay full. ( I will not over book us)

My dogs like to go to Danita's and started with her when she groomed at our vet's office. When she moved to her own building in Prairieville, we tried one time to go to another groomer, which was a bad decision because our dogs did not like their ways of handling them and one tried to bite the worker there. We have never had an experience like this at Danita's so we decided that we could drive to Prairieville, not far, just opposite direction. Told Danita of the incident and asked her if she wanted me to get meds from the vet to calm the dog that tried to bite the other groomer before she groomed him. She said to let her try first but not to sedate him first. When I called to check, she said he was great, having fun with some other dogs and that she was not having a bit of trouble with him. She has pets and so obvious she has a love for pets. Her grooming techniques are excellent, and she listens to what you want done. We have never had a complaint with her or any of her assistants.
When she added boarding spaces, about 6 feet by 6 feet little rooms with pillows and their toys, we decided to board our dogs and cats during our vacation. Prior to this, I refused to board because I did not want them locked up in a tiny kennel all the time. Pets were well taken care of and happy when we picked them up. Would highly recommend! Only change that would make Danita's perfect for boarding would be to take pets out later in the evening around 9-10 p.m. Currently, taken out at closing around 6 p.m. and then when open the next morning about 7 a.m., but they do have pads for use in the pets rooms.
Highly recommend Danita's! Call ahead if want an appointment, wait time about 3 weeks but worth the wait!
