Storm Shield Restoration

They do not know how to properly instal and secure siding or make sure it is up to code. They came to fix termite damage and replace siding after Hurricane Ida. They used foam board that had pre-cut holes in it from a previous job and nailed the siding to that. It should have been nailed to plywood or 2x4â s and it was not. There also should have been a moisture barrier put up and it wasnâ t. They did the bottom half right, but cut major corners on the top part. Less than a year later the siding came off. When I contacted the owner he was very rude and condescending and stated the warranty was voided due to a wind storm. He cussed out my brother on the phone and said it was too bad we didnâ t have the contract. I found the contract and sent it to him showing it stated â warranty voided due to named stormâ which we have not had since they did the job. 9 months of going round and round the owner finally sent a crew out and they literally did a worse job than the first time. The owner told my brother it was done correctly and up to code. We messaged the owner the day they â fixed itâ because the wind was barely blowing and the siding was lifting up. You could touch the siding and it moved, but he did nothing about it. He said he fixed it and wasnâ t coming back out. 3 months later the siding is off again. I had to hire another contractor to come fix it. He said it was not done correctly or up to code and fixed it how it should be done. I would not recommend this company.

Storm Shield representative was courteous and polite. They informed me of findings during the inspection and notified me of their schedule for repairs. Upon arrival Ryan explained the process and kept me informed during the work. I was please with the match on replacement shingles. Job well done.

I was very satisfied with the overall work they preformed. I also have to say there customer service were as if I were family. If it rained they called after the roof was done they called to check and see how it was. I would definitely use this company in future to preform whatever work my home needs.
