In my mind, quarterly would seem like, every 4 months. Nope. 4 months, then six months. I even received a renewal notice in the mail when my contract was up without having received my last cleaning.
Also, every time I would call and speak with them they were having either computer problems, had a new computer system installed or just couldn't find my information. It would take between 2-3 phone calls for them to be able to get me information about when I was on the schedule.
I understand that yes, we are in a rainy climate, and yes they don't get on the roof when it is raining; but this company just doesn't seem to be run well.
All that being said: every guy that came out to clean the gutters was nice and they always cleaned up the yard and alleyways as well as the neighbors yard if stuff went over the fence.
****Update****
I called them back to give them a second chance. Spoke to a polite woman on the phone who was willing to set me up for a new contract. She said she would have to talk to a manager about the two additional cleanings for free and would call me back and email me a contract. I've never heard back from them.
"From time to time in every business, there is that customer that falls through the cracks and is unhappy with a product or the service they receive. In each case, the true value of a company is how they handle an issue that arises. As a company, we strive to make sure all of our customers’ issues are addressed in a timely and responsible manner. We do over 3000 cleanings a year, and have a 97% retention rate of our customers. We continue to progress towards improvements in all areas of service within our company. For several months now we have been painstakingly changing over to a new computer system in an attempt to provide better and faster service to our customers. We apparently failed in your case somewhere along the way. For this I greatly apologize and would like the opportunity to make it right. You seemed happy with the service in the field, just had some problems with the office. I would like to offer you 2 additional cleanings for free if you decide to give us another chance. I assure you that these mishaps are not the norm. We do our best to make sure that our customers are taken care of. I hope you reconsider and give us another opportunity to prove it to you. Again, we apologize and want to make things right."
"The customer signed the contract & we went out to do the job within one weeks time. Our crew blew all the debris out the gutters & then hosed them out. They also picked up the debris that had fallen, along with some additional debris that was in his yard, bagged it up & put it out for the trash people. As far as not doing one side of his house, the customer was informed that the quote was for the left & front of his house & that we would only do the right side of his house as best possible - it even stated it on the contract that he signed. If our crew would have been able to remove the tree, they certainly would have. Many times in the Uptown area of New Orleans, the houses are too close together to safely put a ladder there to clean the gutters - as was the instance in this case. We will not jeopardize the safety of any of our crew members for any reason, & have actually turned down jobs in the past because we believed them to be unsafe in our expert opinion. I am sorry that this customer was not happy with the work. We pride ourselves on customer service, but I guess he didn't understand that some areas would be unreachable."
