He does extremely well. He's extremely reliable and close to where we live. He's great. He's in the shop around 8ish and he stayed until 5 or 6 o'clock at night waiting on the customers to pick up their cars.

On a Wednesday, I was driving past Park Place Tire and Auto when I noticed that my check engine light was on again for the second time in two days. I pulled over and asked if PP would be able to diagnose the problem and fix it. David Ballon (the owner) was very friendly and said he would take a look at it that evening or the next morning, as he had other jobs he was taking care of at the moment. The next day he called to say that he had diagnosed the problem and that he could fix it, but it required special order parts and he could have it ready for the next evening or the following morning so that we would have it for the weekend. He called again on Friday afternoon to say that the truck would be ready by 5 PM. The truck was as clean when it was returned to me as when he got it (no grease smudges or interior dirt). Mr. Ballon was always friendly, punctual, and professional, including that he had saved the used parts to show me what he had replaced when I went to pick up the truck. It is hard to know if his pricing was good (compared to another service provider), but I would say it was fair. There may have been a charge for using a credit card to pay, I'm not sure.
His business is conveniently located and he was easy to deal with, so I would definitely consider using him in the future.

Don and Lionel were great, and everything was done right when I was there. No long waits. Lionel took me home and picked me up when my car was ready. They and a third partner have been in business for 27 years. Park Place is on Tchoupitoulas Street between Washington and Louisiana Avenues.
