Provider showed up as promised and worked through any and all problems we faced and did finish until we were he floors came out great and done in a reasonable amount of time. They did go over on the estimated time and that was in part to the age of our home and the extra work the guys did to make everything work. I truly appreciate the "customer first" attitude Earl, Brad, Paco and the rest of the crew displayed in getting the job done.

Overall experience was a good. Workers were professional. Floors look beautiful. There were a few minor issues I had during the install but all were corrected at the time of installation. I was present during the installation so I could point out what I liked and didn't like. Almost a year later there was a spot in the floor where the boards were sinking causing a gap to form. I called the company and they came out to repair the spot at not cost to me. My floors are still beautiful. What I would suggest point out flaws as the work is being done and not after. They listen and will work had at having you very satisfied when the work is done.

They said they'd be finished in two days, and they were! They worked on a Sunday and Monday, starting at 7AM each day. The first day they worked until 8:30 PM, the second day until 9:30. I've never seen a team work so hard. They stopped for lunch only. They moved and replaced all the furniture, including hooking up the televisions and other electronics. They cleaned up afterward and placed all the trash on the curb. Somebody even fixed a shade that had fallen down before they came.
We will be doing a huge kitchen remodel soon, and I will certainly use Moving Forward for that project.

"Thanks a million Member. We are thankful you allowed us to come into your home and work without interference or any undo pressure or drumming up negative energy. There is no project that goes without obstacles but when you hire professionals it is there duty to resolve those challenges seamlessly. That cannot be accomplished if the homeowners are in the way trying to think and sometimes work for you. I really thank you and your family for hire us and letting us do our jobs."

The crew has no respect for your property. Found Cigarette butts all over my carport and driveway. All cuttings and dust were everywhere, even in my boat! Found uneaten sandwich on my carport, etc. They would not even clean up after themselves, even found cuttings and dust that they left on the floor inside the air conditioning return air closet. The bulk of the flooring install was adequate, even though some of the board end joints are very close to the next run joints. The transistions they installed were done incorrectly, they then lied to us that this was due to them not having enough material for the job. Wrong! We purchased more than enough to do this, they could not cut them correctly. There was only one installer on the job that could have performed this part of the job correctly, but he was pulled off the job and sent elsewhere.

I have heard back from this company since the review was posted, we have ageed upon a resolution to the transition installation issue.

The crew came in and started working immediately. They were very pleasant and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and put all the furniture back in place when they were done. The owner came back to do a survey on our service and he was very professional and friendly. The do other things besides flooring and I would be happy to recommend. They do painting, roofing, etc.

Scheduled to have 3 rooms of hardwood installed - had to go behind the workers and correct their mistakes. The worst mistake being that they did not notice nails left under the black moisture barrier material that is laid down before the hardwood is installed - causing a lump in several parts of the floor (which had to be removed). The floors were installed within 3 days; however, the touch up work which included repairing and painting extended beyond a week and was not been completed by this company. We have had to bring in additional workers from a seperate company to fix their mistakes - which included pulled out brackets from our curtains.

"We install floors in over 200 homes a year and it goes without saying that you can't please everyone. We would not be able to continue or trade if every project we have done was conducted as you have described. Scott and Craig Uhl have flagrantly attempted to bash our company because of there ignorant understanding of home improvements. First of all you should know not to expect a steak if your on a beer budget. You purchased cabin grade material (throw away product) and expected the installation to compensate for the poor quality of the material. That will never happen. you have purchase the good stuff if thats what you expect. Second, A problem isn't a problem unless it can't be solved. When we were confronted about the slight indentation in the floor we responded immediately by removing the board and replacing it after it was discovered that there was something underneath it. I don't see why there is such a big deal being made about that. It was corrected. That is what the walk through is about, if you see something out of place mention it and get it corrected. It was one tack in one section of the boards (1 spot out of 800 soft of wood). I feel like we were dealing with scammers because you all wanted to hold us responsible for the curtain bracket coming out of the wall when I clearly pointed out to you that the brackets were hung using the wrong type of anchor from the beginning and my guys didn't touch the curtains anyway to cause the problem so that doesn't qualify as "our" work you had to get other guys to come back and complete. Finally, Anytime a customer becomes irate and begins using obscene language, my organization takes that as a threat and discontinues our services. After being cursed out three times by Scott after all of the work was completed we decided to stop responding to him about the curtain brackets. Life is to delicate and especially in New Orleans things happen to fast to take people for granted. I do recall that Scott was nearly thrown out of the store were they purchased the flooring from for being irate about the price of the reasonably discounted second hand material he purchased. At that time he was intoxicated from medication he was taking because he fell off of his scooter according to CJ Uhl. I assumed he had to be intoxicated during our exchange which is why he was so enraged about every little thing. I am sorry it didn't work for you guys but after all you have said hear your floor still does look really good in my opinion."

Earl Turner and crew were quick and about the business of installing floors. Very professional.

UPDATE 10.8.2012
Even though my warranty expired a couple of months ago, he came out and repaired the issue at no extra cost.
Response from Moving Forward Flooring
"Thanks."
