Mid City Animal House

I went to Angie's List for a recommendation for dog grooming and this place had great reviews. The dog looked cute.  The man handed me the dog and I left with the dog in my arms.  After the dog got home after a 2 hour ride, she could not take 2 steps without sitting down from razor burn to the vaginal area.  I called them and they suggested hydro cortisone cream which did not work.  I may have to take her to the vet if this continues.  I feel sorry for my dog because she is so uncomfortable.  My kids are very upset because she cannot walk more than a couple of steps without sitting down. I would be happy to bring the dog for the owner to see how uncomfortable she is if he /she would like.

We really like Mid City Animal House. It is a small business with a lot of the dogs that are "regulars". They really get to know the dogs personality and get acquainted with the owners. It has the small town feel and you don't feel like you are a number in a big box pet store. Location is perfect and this will be our new home!

I had a great experience with Mid city Animal House. I heard about them through Groupon and used a voucher there to have my dogs groomed. The owners, Calli and Kelly, were very. professional and friendly. They really showed care and concern for my dogs and that made me feel comfortable and that my dogs would be well taken care of. When I arrived to pick them up, Kelly (groomer) came out and introduced himself and then discussed my dogs with me and any issues he may have seen (skin, ears, etc). I thought that this was such a great aspect of the customer service they offer. They really individualize each customer and let them know that they are just as concerned about your animals, as you are. The grooming job was excellent and my dogs looked even better than where I had taken them before. The prices are also reasonable. I plan to return and become a regular customer and would highly recommend them to anyone!
