Iron City Contracting did not perform the work agreed to conduct at my home for new construction; however, accepted initial payments in August 2018 for the quoted/estimated work for a new home construction which exceeded $30,000. Upon the homeowner awareness that Iron City Contracting did not complete the work requested and agreed, a refund was requested by the homeowner and agreed by Derrick Kelley in November 2018. However, in December 2018, Mr. Kelley became completely unresponsive to requests for updates on the documentation he advised he would provide and the refund status. In December 2018, a complaint was been filed with the Louisiana State Licensing Board of Contractors regarding this same incident of money taken from a homeowner without the performance of work. According to the Louisiana State Licensing Board of Contractors, Iron City Contracting website, Iron City Contracting was not a licensed contractor in Louisiana. As of 3/6/2019, Derrick Kelley of Iron City Contracting has not provided the refund for the work he did not perform or documentation he claimed he would provide regarding what was completed.

They came out on date schedule and had to stop working due to the weather but returned to finish the job he next day. Workers were very polite and they cleaned up after they finished.
