The fence is gorgeous!

Impact Deck and Fence knows its stuff.  On our consult we could tell our needs were well understood.  We were supplied with several quote options to choose from.  Very professional, courteous, and efficient.  Job completely seamless as promised.  Will definitely use again for our deck project.

Great! Our appointment for a quote was scheduled quickly and the quote was received right away. Workers showed up early on the day of installation, and worked quickly through the day. They handled some awkward corners perfectly, and the fence looks great.

It went well. I paid an additional $125 on top of the deal. They were very polite and very knowledgeable. They worked really fast. I think I needed more cement in the ground so we had to pay more for the cement.

Wow. Absolutely fantastic. Did I say wow? I linked to Alex's website from Angie's List and filled out the online "contact us" form. Within 30 minutes, Alex called me and set up an appointment for an estimate. On estimate day, Alex was on time and completely professional. He provided an estimate with a contract, as well as a copy of his liability insurance. There was a bit of a hiccup as far as payment - his website says "yes, credit cards" but when I asked he said that he would have to pay an additional 3% of the total to the credit card company. I said that I would not have a problem paying the extra 3% on my end so that he wouldn't have to take the pinch but that didn't seem to make a difference. We eventually settled on a check - my only hassle there was having to move money around between bank accounts. Alex said that his crew (Scott and Louis) would be at the house at 12:00 on December 23. At 8:30, a truck backed into the driveway and Scott explained that their first job fell through and he hoped it wasn't a problem that they were early for my appointment. Absolutely not a problem - thanks for coming early!! They were completely prepared, asked for clarification of the work to be done before they started and went immediately to work. 2 hours later, all of the old fence was stacked neatly on the curb for garbage pickup, the yard was clean and I was completely, totally, happy with their work. I will definitely use Alex again in the future.

They did a decent job. They came out a year ago. They were prompt and showed up when expected. They were courteous. There were no problems. The company is small. They can't do too many jobs at once. They maybe have four employees at the time.

The experience was great but it didn't work out with the price.

Let me first say that I like Alex and the guys at Impact.  I thought that they worked as quickly as they could.  They quoted a great price. The fence is a dog earred 6' cypress picket fence with to swinging gate doors on the front side and one sliding 11' gate on a v-rail on the back side.  They did a lot of work digging out the ground for the v-rail, and it was in the winter so the concrete took longer than expected to cure, this cause the concrete to crack when the v-rail was attached to the concrete slab.  I found that a lot of the concrete around the posts crumbled and just fell apart after a couple of weeks.  The handle on the sliding gate was poorly secured and I had to reinforce it myself.  It looks like I may have to fix one of the front gates that have settled away from the latch causing the gate to open on its own.   The clean up after the job also left something to be desired.  I felt overall that the work was complete per my request but I would need a little more attention to detail in order to improve my rating.

My experience with them was okay. There was nothing that stuck out that I would want to refer them.

Extremely prompt for estimate Multiple postponements of start date on part of Impact Fence and Deck Multiple postponements of completion date on part of Impact-2 day job turned into 7 day job. Start date was the date materials were delivered, not the day actual work began. Originally scheduled to complete by Fri. Work not finished by Friday, so continued on Monday. A few of the problems with workmanship addressed on Tue. Removal of fence material- material was placed along street with nails facing up and included my 'porthole' metal grating which was to be reused. I retrieved the door from the pile and dragged it back into my yard so Impact could remove the metal grate for use in the new gate. Then after some passerby picked up much of the old lumber, Impact placed the remaining old fence material in my garbage can on the street. After I requested removal from my garbage can, they loaded it into their truck from my garbage can and hauled it away. Poor workmanship with evidence of lacking skills - Thumb latch installed incorrectly; newly constructed gate not flush at edge (over 1 inch gap opening on one side) with no way to correct without tearing out fence adjacent to gate or rebuilding that side of gate) This was not resolved; circular porthole cut with saw cuts tangent to opening due to use of saws all instead of a finer tool for curved cutting, resulting cuts remain in the door around the hole. This was not resolved. The trim on a 5 foot run of the cap and trim consisted of 2 shorter pieces, one 4 foot 8 inch and one 4 inch piece instead of one complete length of trim. This was not resolved. My recommendation is to avoid hiring Impact Fence and Deck for fencing.

Very pleased with end results - looks great and feels solid.  Could have been a little more professional in execution.  Even though I work from home, I expect a contractor to call to tell me when they're coming.  Some days they did not show when expected, Some days they were knocking on the front door when they were not expected.  Clean up was also less than stellar.  I had to shame them into sweeping the driveway by getting out a broom and starting it myself.  All in all, however, Impact is good value for the money.
