They were nice in the beginning. Once I called with the complaint it was a 180° change in attitude. If you have a washing machine repairman come to your home and work on your unit, wouldn’t you expect your unit to NOT be scratched up, and for it to be reassembled properly? If so, NEVER use Broussard’s Appliance Service on River Rd. For $119 they send a tech to assess the problem. My tech did not even run my machine. He just asked what was wrong. When he returned for the service, upon completion, he told me he had issues getting the part in. When I called to complain about the scratches he left, and reassembly problem, that is when their customer service true colors were revealed. They had zero remorse or care for my issues with the scratches left on my unit. They flat out told me “It’s just he said, she said” there was nothing they could do about the scratches. They tried (which my father and I did ourselves) to blame removing the dryer from the top of the unit as causing the scratches, and then also remarked it looks like the scratches were gouges. I agree they do look like gouges, perhaps from someone accidentally hitting my unit with their tools? Then they wanted to send the same tech back out to work on the reassemble issue. Uhhh, no thanks. Please DO NOT consider this company for your repair needs.

Their service is awful. I had to explain to their repairman what was wrong with my freezer. After an hour he realized why there was a part in his van with my name on it. He tried to replace various parts unnecessarily. I was still charged a diagnostic fee. Save time and money with YouTube and Google for the part.

Their communication was terrible and they lacked professionalism. We constantly had to call to see where we were with ordering parts/ scheduling the repair. They ordered the wrong part. They were very unprofessional. They did give us a small refund after we asked multiple times so that's the only reason I'm not giving them an F.

they came the first time and worked on the ice maker. said it was fixed. It wasn't. they came a week and a half later as that was the soonest they could come and did not fix it. The third time they came they just cleaned it and said it should work. I asked for another tech the next time. He came and said no problem He knew what it was. Another tech came to the door the next time and he didn't even know what was needed. We turned off the water and he took the whole thing apart. and said that the part that was ordered did not work. It was not their fault but kitchen aids fault because the hose was not the right one for the valve. This seems suspect.
I am not happy as i have wasted 5 days staying here for them and got nothing fixed.

When we arrived at our second home for a week's vacation, our oven was beeping and would not operate.  We called the manufacturer, followed their trouble shooting directions, and nothing worked.  They gave us the name of several authorized repair shops, of which Dial One Broussard was one.  All of the places that we called, except Broussards, said that they would need to call the manufacturer for the part, and it would take seven to ten days to order the part, too long for us to wait.  Only Broussards volunteered to try to find the part for us locally so that we would have the use of our stove during our vacation.  Within the hour Broussard's manager called back to say that they had located the part, and could come the next day to repair our stove.  They established a window for the repairman's arrival (between 9:00 and 12:00 the following morning).  The repair man called at 9:30 to tell us that he was just finishing his previous job, and would be at our home within the hour.  He called again when he arrived at 10:15.  Within half an hour the repair man had completed the repair perfectly, and his charges were exactly what the Broussard manager had told us the previous day that they would be.  The repair man then went above and beyond by helping us with another problem at no extra cost.  He helped us to adjust our 220 volt commercial water heater to provide adequate hot water, which it hadn't been doing since it was new.  He said that he would be happy to help us adjust the water heater, as he was already at our home.  The repair man was very professional throughout our experience, thoroughly cleaned everything after the repair, and did an exceptional job.  I would highly recommend Dial One Broussard at any time, to anyone, for reliable, professional appliance repair.0130

A couple of weeks later he called me, "I got all the parts for you, when can I come up?" He came over last Monday and I want him put in the main one to make sure it fits and there's no problem so he does that and he looked at it and he goes "All right, here's the rest of the parts, I think you should do them 'cause it would save you time and money and you won't have to pay me as much", so he left there and gave me the bill and like "By the way, I waived the diagnostics fee and I was only out here for the 2 hour minimum but I was only here for like 45 minutes, I'm only going to charge you an hour", so he charged me much less than I had expected, he actually made sure I had all the parts that I needed and he brought an extra part, "I bought this part for you, I'm not sure if you need it but I just figured it would be better to get it now and I could take it back or if you need it then you'll have it but it's up to you." This guy is just phenomenal, this guy just rock, he took care of me, he doesn't overcharge me, he cut out the bill, he made sure I was happy and he didn't sit down and try to work 10 hours when all I wanted to do is one or a few things, this guy is awesome.

I have never taken the time to write a review of a company before, despite some bad experiences that have happened over the years, but this company?s actions were far too inexcusable.  On February 12, 2013 the Dial One technician arrived to service my Washer-Dryer Combination unit. I paid $127.52, representing 1/2 of the part needed for the mechanical difficulty.  When the tech returned with that part and replaced it, he found that it needed another mechanical part in addition to the thermostat.
When he moved the unit back into place, he put his knee through the exterior door cover.  I was told that this would be replaced at no fee because it was his accident.  Upon his arrival with the additional part, he made the final mechanical repair that was needed to have the machine function and replaced the cover that he had broken.  The machine then worked.
When he moved the unit back into place this second time (it was pulled out of a closet), he not only had broken the plastic door cover again, but he had broken the latch to the door.  Because the latch to the door was now broken, the door would not not close securely and the unit would not begin its operation.
The door latch as well as yet another exterior door cover were then ordered because of this negligence - not because these items were even an issue in the first place.  I understand accidents can happen.  I requested a receipt so that I could at least have the funds for the mechanical issues sent to me by the company that I?d ordered an extended warranty through.  Since I?d already paid $127.52, I would have the balance to pay upon completion of these non-related issues that Dial One was, at this point, taking responsibility.
From this point on though they were unable to repair the door latch.  Without a front loading machine having a secured door, it will not operate.  After different attempts that took place over a 2 1/2 month period, I was told they could not repair it and they were going to refund a $30 service fee (this was after receiving complaints from me).  Yet this was leaving me with a 3 year old unit that was now useless due to their negligence.  This was followed by offering to refund the $127.52 that I?d originally paid, yet even with the warranty funds I had, this would not cover the cost of purchasing a new unit.
During the 2+ months (after their different attempts to repair the door latch they had broken) of not being able to have the use of laundry facilities I was told by Dial One that they were working with the Manufacturer of the unit to have a new unit replace this one.  I was given reference numbers, yet when I called, I was told the Manufacturer had no intention of replacing the unit.  My own extended warranty company only replaces parts that are mechanical in nature, yet I was told to check with them again (which was useless because it is a mechanical policy, not covering mishandling of door covers & door latches).
I was left with no choice except to summarize this in a letter and send it to the owner stating that I was going to take action.  I received a call from the owner and he was more concerned with the fact that I intended to make this publicly known than he was about doing anything to rectify the situation.  I had one company (sent by the warranty company) originally look at the unit that did nothing except state that they did not know how to work on this unusual appliance - which is why I ended up calling Dial One.  Yet the owner, in a escalated tone of voice, had the audacity to tell me that he knows that 3 other companies worked on this unit - and he doesn?t know what ?they may have done to it?, so he cannot take responsibility for the condition that his company left my unit.  He then accused me of scamming the warranty company for the small amount that I received because the tech had left me a receipt to be reimbursed during the time I was waiting for the parts that they had broken to come in and be installed.  Since I am a businessman in the community, he knew I can easily put the word out on what his company did to me.  When I mentioned reporting him to the Better Business Bureau, he stated that he would report me.
As I?d stated, I have never taken the time to report an incident of injustice before, but this was simply over-the-top from negligence to using bold lies as a defense.  When I asked if his company carried insurance to cover an issue such as this, I was told that they did not.  As a result of their negligence, I have just had to purchase a new washer-dryer combo unit.  In addition, since the size of the old one (that fit perfectly in a closet) is no longer available, I have to have the closet redone in order to accommodate the new, larger size.  Their inexcusable treatment of this situation is now going to cost me $2100 between the cost of the new unit purchased and the work necessary to provide the proper space it needs.

"Our records indicate that the customer called and reported an EC-04 error code displaying on the control board. The part to correct the customers EC-04 error code was on a factory backorder and arrived 5/3/2013. This part not being available until 5/3/2013 is a circumstance out of our control. As stated by the customer she has now purchased a new unit. Attached you will see the supporting documents by the part distributor showing a backorder status and also showing the date received. The Better Business Burueau reviewed this complaint and determined “that we have made a good faith effort in resolving this issue” (see attached) The customer asking us to replace his unit is the equivalent of bringing a car to a mechanic for a transmission problem and asking the mechanic to replace the car because the mechanic accidentally broke the hubcap. The mechanics responsibility is to replace the part he broke."

I called to set the appointment and told the office what I believed the problem to be. She asked the age and make of the machine and set a time for the repairman to make a service call within the next week. The service man came when my husband was at home, so I described the problem in detail over the phone. Within an hour my husband called to say it was fixed and the cost was only slightly more than the price quoted for the service call.  I am happy with the service.
I had previously called Broussard's with a different appliance problem and was able to talk directly to a technician prior to a service call which helped me decide whether I needed the appliance repaired or replaced.

On neither visit did the technician fully test the machine and stated it was set incorrectly.  This was accepted the first visit.  But, on the second visit, when the same problem occurred and the same adjustment was made, I confronted stating there was a bigger problem.  The technician would not listen, became argumentative, and would not agree to further diagnose.  Based on the experience of the first visit (also argumentative), I asked the technician to leave.  I contacted another repair company (A1).  Upon their visit, without prompting, they contacted the manufacturer to run through a diagnostic test.  It was revealed that the sensors were broken, new parts were required , and immediately ordered.  The phone customer service has been excellent, which is also in contrast to this company. I have received three followup calls from them and second appointment scheduled to install the new parts.

There was an interesting situation. He came out and figured out what was wrong right away. He said he needed to order a part. In the midst of ordering the part we had a hurricane so there was a major delay in them getting back to me. I was not home and they were not in town. There was a big delay but it certainly was not anybody's fault. Then they came and fixed it. The guy was nice, polite and he figured out what was wrong very quickly. He definitely knew what he was doing.

"Our factory trained and authorized technician made a trip to your home to diagnos the problem you were having with your dishwasher. After identifying the problem you were quoted a price from "The Major Appliance Service National Price Guide". For this service you were charged $79.95 plus tax. We in no way tried to take advantage of you."

I own a Frigidaire microwave that needed servicing while it was still under warranty. The microwave table would turn and light would stay on when the door was closed. I contacted the manufacturer who advised that Dial One Broussard was an authorized repair service. I made an appointment. A technician arrived and advised that the microwave door needed to be replaced adding that the door had to be ordered. Several weeks later another technician arrived to replace the door. After installing the door, the problem with the microwave was still there. That technician checked the microwave and stated that there was a problem with the door switch. He then advised that the switch had to be ordered. Several months had passed and I contacted Dial One Broussard via phone and spoke with a representative who advised that my service ticket was completed. She advised that according to their records my microwave was repaired. Nothing could have been further from the truth. After going back and forth over several days I was advised that the switch had to be re-ordered. After several more weeks another technician arrived and installed the switch. The microwave still continued with the same problem. I was then advised by the technician that he would recommend that the microwave be replaced. He further stated that a representative would contact me concerning the matter. Months have passed and numerous messages were left and to date no response.

"DEAR VALUED CUSTOMER: SORRY IF YOU HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE IN REGARDS TO REPAIRING YOUR MICROWAVE. OUR RECORDS INDICATE THAT YOU DID HAVE REPEATED REPAIRS AND IT WAS DUE TO A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. OUR TECHNICIANS WHO ARE FACTORY TRAINED PERFORMED REPAIRS TO THE DOOR AS INSTRUCTED BY THE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE DEPARTMENT AT FRIGIDAIRE. YOU WERE ALSO PROVIDED WITH A TELEPHONE NUMBER TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER TO HAVE YOUR UNIT EXCHANGED. WE HAVE SUBMITTED ALL DOCUMENTATION TO FRIGIDAIRE TO AID IN A QUICK TURNAROUND. IF YOU CALL OUR OFFICE WE WILL DO WHAT WE CAN TO ASSIST YOU. WE ALSO COMPLETED A REPAIR ON YOUR REFRIGERATOR BUT DON'T SEE A REPORT LISTED. I AM CURIOUS AS TO WHY YOU DID NOT SUBMIT A REPORT FOR THE REFRIGERATOR. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT ANGIE'S LIST IS A GREAT AVENUE TO COMPLAIN BUT IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU A TRUE GAUGE OF A COMPANIES OVERALL SERVICE."

They replaced numerous components in the machine without really knowing what was wrong. The whole repair process dragged out over 3 months. Repair guys would show up without the parts they needed. Information about what was tried on the last attempt wasn't given to the next repairman. Repairman would leave without testing the unit. Finally someone at the back office had the bright idea to call the manufacturer tech support and got it working. But, alas, they installed the wrong logic board and now the machine doesn't run in "delicate mode". To top it all off they tried to charge us for parts that we didn't need. Awful experience. Please avoid these guys.
Response from DIAL ONE BROUSSARD APPLIANCE SERVICE CO. INC.
"ALL OF OUR TECHNICIANS ARE FACTORY TRAINED AND REPAIR APPLIANCES ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURERS PROCEDURE. IF A DIFFERENT TECHNICIAN GOES TO A JOB HE WILL HAVE A PREVIOUS SERVICE HISTORY. ALL TECHNICIANS TEST THE APPLIANCES BEFORE LEAVING. IF A PROBLEM OCCURS WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE REPAIR WE WILL RETURN TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM AT NO CHARGE. IF A CUSTOMER IS CHARGED MORE THAN ORIGINALLY QUOTED THEY SHOULD CONTACT THE SERVICE MANAGER FOR AN EXPLANATION. IF THE REPAIR PROCESS TOOK 3 MONTHS IT IS VERY LIKELY THAT THERE WAS A PART THAT MAY HAVE BEEN ON FACTORY BACK ORDER. OUR GOAL IS TO COMPLETE EACH REPAIR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE WE DO NOT COLLECT PAYMENT UNTIL THE JOB IS COMPLETE. WE DO COLLECT THE DIAGNOSIS FEE BUT THE BALANCE FOR PARTS AND LABOR IS NOT COLLECTED UNTIL THE JOB IS COMPLETE. WE NEVER CHARGE FOR PARTS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN INSTALLED BUT WERE NOT NEEDED. OUR TECHNICIANS DO NOT WORK ON COMMISSION AND THEREFORE DO NOT HAVE AN INCENTIVE TO INCREASE CHARGES. IN THE REPORT IT APPEARS THAT DIAL ONE DID NOT GIVE UP. THE REPAIR COST TO REPLACE A CONTROL BOARD ON A WASHING MACHINE COULD RUN UP TO $500 OR MORE DEPENDING ON THE MODEL. WE HAVE NO WAY TO VERIFY THIS REPORT BECAUSE THE CUSTOMER HAS ONLY LEFT HIS INITIALS. WE WANT CUSTOMERS FOR LIFE AND WOULD NEVER DRAG ON A REPAIR FOR THAT LONG."

They responded promptly. The problem was a "burned out" igniter. There was a repair delay of several days, because they had to order the part, but that was obviously not their fault. The technician, Dave Martin, was smart, pleasant, neat, and fast. It was a pleasure to have him in my home. I have used Dial-One before, and would do so again.
