After an oil change, my car wasn't shifting properly. I walked in on a Thursday and brought the car in on Monday as they are not open on Friday. Note that while the owner is there at 7 a.m., the mechanics don't start until 8. Between the time of making the appointment and taking it in, the symptoms had worsened and the car had stalled a couple of times.
They discovered that the oil change place had punctured the transmission filter so that fluid was leaking, though fortunately slowly. They replaced the filter and fluid.
The sunroof drains were stopped up, causing water to leak in when it rains hard, which we know happens in New Orleans. They unclogged the drains and no more leaks.
By the way, I have taken the bill for the transmission work to the oil repair place and expect a refund from them
My only complaint is that the mechanic is a smoker so there was a lingering smoke smell after he took it for a test drive.

I was pretty happy with them. I felt like I got a fair assessment and they only did the work that was required. They were very professional in interacting and working. They were prompt and got the work done very quickly. I think I've got a fair amount of work done. The car is running very well since then.

The price is very reasonable and everything was done right. They were very responsive.

It was an average experience working with this company. I had to call them to find out the availability of when I could pick up my vehicle, instead of them calling me when they were finished.

I brought my car in when the brakes were beginning to make noises indicating that they needed replacement. I had gone another place (on Calliope) that had a lot of positive online reviews, but had gotten a ridiculous quote and a list of other repairs I needed. When I brought my car to Crescent City, I was given a much lower quote for the same work, and was told that my car did not need the list of repairs I was given elsewhere.The service was quick and friendly. I didn't feel pressured for additional work, and the cost was the same as the estimate. My experience was positive enough that I brought my car back for a check engine light diagnostic a few weeks later. They worked for an hour and identified a small hose leak, replaced the hose, and charged me an hour of labor plus a few dollars for the hose. I've had difficulty finding a mechanic in the city, but so far Crescent City seems to be fair and competent. I rated a "B" only because I feel that my interactions have been pretty limited, but I plan on taking my car back again and hope to continue my positive experiences.

They looked at my car and I drove to Illinois before I drove to Chicago. They did a thorough checkup. They were great and friendly. They weren’t very expensive. They were honest and I never ever questioned them for anything. They did a timely job. I didn’t have to take my car back to them. Somebody at work recommended me to use them for auto care. They don’t have a big shop. If I were in New Orleans, I would definitely go to Crescent City Automotive. My overall experience was good.
