I left a $9,000 deposit with Comfort Engineered Systems over 11 months ago to have a home generator installed. 6 months passed without any follow up by the company. I then placed 15 calls/messages to the company’s voicemail and answering service without ever receiving a single return call. I was finally left with no choice but to physically show up at the company’s office and demand to speak to the owner (Edward Perez). He claimed he never received any of my call and “just by coincidence” I was “next on the list” to have a generator installed. Five more months went by without any contact from the company. I placed another dozen calls to them, none of which were returned. Again, left with no other option I again had to physically show up at the company’s office to get a response as to why I was being completely ignored after having left a $9,000 deposit. When I got to the company’s office it was completely empty although the company’s name was still on the door. Fortunately there was another tenant in the building who informed me that Comfort Engineered had vacated the premises several months earlier and he thought they may have moved to Harrahan. The company’s website still listed the previous address so I had to do some detective work to find the location of their office in Harrahan. I again physically showed up at the company and requested a return of my deposit since over 11 months had passed, I had never received a single communication from the company and they were continuing to ignore my telephone messages. I would like to hand my full deposit returned so that I can move on with my project with someone else. Mr. Perez told me that “we do not return any deposits after 3 days” and again, by coincidence, I was “next on the list”. I told him that if I did not receive a refund of my deposit I was going to pursue legal action and walked out. Mr. Perez ran after me in the parking lot saying he could install my generator next week. Mr. Perez is the most dishonest businessman I have met in 30 years of doing construction/renovation work. Stay away from this guy like the plague.

The upgrade to a new Carrier system went splendidly. The CES guys were punctual, knowledgeable, and easy to work with - and around. In & out in roughly 48 hours, they brought the comfort back to my metro New Orleans home & office. Thanks, CES. And thanks, Ed Perez/

We bought a couple of heating units from them over the course of years. We're very pleased with their service and we wouldn't change.

The installer did everything to perfection. Centred it on our blocks. Then explained everything about the operation of our generator so we could understand all very very professional

"First, let us apologize for any misinterpretation between us and thank you for the opportunity to explain what transpired. February 6, 2013 Ed Perez, Nicolas Alatzas and Tyler Zimmerman made the call to perform a $35.00 NOLA Wise prescriptive path energy audit. They met with [Member name removed] and her husband. All three of us are BPI (Building Performance Institute) certified as Building Analysts and Building Envelope Professionals. Mr. Perez holds additional certifications and degrees in HVAC&R and NATE (North American Technical Excellence) HVAC& R certifications. In addition we have performed Manual J load calculation for over 1,000 homes. So our experience is broad and can perform fact based assessments with our backgrounds. NOLA Wise sets up the appointment and we made the schedule. Nicolai and Ed were there to go over the lengthy prescriptive path paperwork required by NOLA Wise. The paperwork explained all of the process and procedure we were going to go through. Tyler was there to record all of the appliance data and HVAC equipment data as well as measure the home. So he did go right to work. We also were required to obtain signatures and a signed confidentiality agreement which was required by NOLA Wise. The analysis was sent to NOLA wise. The audit determines what insulation would be required, the amount of insulation, air sealing benefits, HVAC duct sealing benefits and all of the rebates that were associated with each process. It was a quite lengthy process all covered by the $35.00 upfront fee. There is no selling other than offering the services that assist in meeting the minimum requirements for the rebates as set by NOLA Wise and Energy Smart. What we offered was the process that would offer the largest return on the homeowners investment. In addition, we were not middle men as all of the oversight and processing of the forms and the final inspections results were our responsibility. We were not commissioned based and in fact found that we gave a tremendous amount of support and information for free with this program. We are surprised that a February visit garnered such a response over a year later; however, we again appreciate the opportunity to explain our services to you."

Excellent! The price was great, and the system is fantastic. One of the best purchases I have made, as I am saving $$$ on my electric bill. All representatives from Comfort Engineered Systems were personable and qualified. I really appreciated their communication and honesty. Prior to the sale, a whole home energy evaluation was performed to make certain I would purchase the correct size unit. The installation went smoothly, and the work was top notch. Workers always arrived on time. They kept me informed about their progress and completion date. My new Maytag is an energy saver, and it has performed flawlessly. I even get compliments on the unit from visitors who spot it in my yard (it is a beauty to behold). Also, the unit is very quiet so there is no problem with loud, annoying noise when outside. The entire experience working with Comfort Engineered Systems was pleasant. I would definitely purchase from them again, and I plan on using their services for my upcoming solar panel project. I highly recommend this business without hesitation. Call them, you won't be disappointed.
