 + -1 moreThe quote was reasonable compared to other companies. They started right away and got the work done in just over a week, even though it was just two men who did the work. They did everything with care and really worked through problems, like when our kitchen door got stuck after the beam underneath had been properly reinforced. They addressed this with us, and initially thought we may have to adjust the frame/change the door because it was so tight. By the end of the day they had figured out an adjustment that added no cost, the door opened smoothly and you couldn't visibly tell their had been an issue. Their carpenter had a great eye to detail, and everything was finished nicely.
Description of Work: Made a lot of different repairs, mostly related to termite damage that we had. This included replacing and reinforcing beams under the house. Reconstructing a pier that hadn't been constructed properly in the first place. Replacing the porch ceiling and the trim for several of our exterior windows. And patching drywall that had cracked due to the damage and poorly constructed pier.

 + -1 moreWhen we moved in the laundry room was not hooked up properly, and every time we did laundry the water would run all over the floor. When I called to say my husband would put in a sink to alleviate the water running all over the floor and causing possible damage to the flooring for the cost of parts only ($75.00) they refused to pay for the sink. The only other thing that needed attention was the toilet, and they did fix it.
Description of Work: The Charles Anderson and company own rental homes in Slidell, LA and New Orleans, LA area. We rented a house at 3148 Duncan Street, Slidell, LA 70458 from December 10, 2007 through September 30, 2008. We paid $1,150 per month plus a security deposit of $1,000. When we purchased a home in Picayune, MS, we gave a 30 day notice to vacate the premises in Slidell as required by the lease. They have told us they will not return our $1,000 security deposit even though the premises was left clean and in order. They say it is at their discretion to return the deposit or not to return it.
