BEF Electric

This guy used to have $85 service charge a couple of years ago. He changed two fuses in the breaker box and charged us $95 back then. I assumed that his price was more or less the same and called him again yesterday (Jan 2022) because the breaker box in our upstairs unit was making sounds, there was a burnt smell and that the power was off in some of the rooms. I said I suspected it had something to do with the heater. He came in but didn't warn me about the price change. He looked at the breaker box and said, the problem was the same and changed one of the fuses. He then checked on the heater but said it probably wasn't the problem. After he left, the lights went out again in the bedroom and bathroom. We called him but he said we would have to pay $300 dollars. He didn't want to take responsibility that his repair didn't work. He said he was called about the heater, which is not correct. I have the text messages, and I read it up for him, he just shrugged it off. I would suggest that you don't use this guy; I don't trust him. He doesn't own his work.
