The worst service department in the City. They overcharged for repairs. Of the several repairs undertaken, one repair was done poorly and the other repair was not done at all. Some probems, like leaving my gear shifers pointing in two different direction so that you could no longer read what gear you were in was unrelated to any repair.
Sadly, I bought his and her Specialized bikes from this shop and you would think that would mean something. It did when I was shopping but that friendliness is gone when you need service. The repair not performed was billed and to add insult to injury, I was told the the seat post was not repairable and needed replaced. I tried to talk to the owner (Charley) who immediately erupted into an angry caffeinated (?) rant about how they were experts. I took my bike to Gerken's shop on St Claude and was charged $10 to straighten out the sloppy repairs that Bayou charged $80. The seat post was fixed free of charge and the other repairs straightened up. Stay away, stay away.

Bayou Bicycles have a really good selection, they are prompt, and they are close to my house. I have used them for at least 10 years.
