Acme Exteriors, LLC

"On Sept 4th, 2014, [member name removed] contacted Acme to schedule an appointment. I was promptly assigned the call and scheduled it for Sat, Sept, 6th at 9 am due to her hectic schedule. At that time, protocol was followed and customer was educated on the attributes of Acme Exteriors, LLC. We carry ONLY a 40 year shingle. We also offer it a cost far lower than any 30 year product on the market and take no money down or deposits. [member name removed] started contacting me on the 8th saying that of the 13 colors in our product line, she was unable to choose one. She began referring to the colors in the surrounding area, which I immediately pointed out were 30 year roofs. On the 6th I left her 3 more selections, but to no avail. She contacted me on the 11th still insisting on a 30 year product. I then began research these products with various suppliers and wholesalers in the area. She scheduled an appointment to meet with me on 17th and as I was 10 minutes from her home, 45 from mine, she cancelled without rhyme or reason. I met with her again that Saturday and dropped off the 30 year samples and let her know that it would actually cost her more as we have a vast inventory of OUR product. On or about the 1st of October, she chose a 30 year and installation was promptly scheduled. On the 3rd, (day of), she sent me a message which I will quote VERBATIM. "Call them off today, I would prefer Saturday so I can be here to see the shingles actually resemble the color." At that time crews were sent home. We promptly returned on the following day. When I went out to the project site, as [member name removed] stated, she was not home, when I spoke to her, she stated that she was shopping with her mother. The foreman of the project, had everything working in accordance with protocol. [member name removed] asked me to deal with him as his wife could sometimes be difficult to deal with. The crews finished around 4 pm and contacted me and main office in accordance with company policy. At 9:11 pm, 6 hours after the job was done, [member name removed] contacted me and informed me that the AC in her home wasnt working. She said in fact, that the outside unit wasnt working. I was caught a little by surprise as this was more than six hours after completion of the project and her husband had in fact been home. It was mid October with temperatures in the low 90's, not something that goes unnoticed in the south. I expressed to her that I would send the AC company that is contracted by Acme to inspect.. She insisted on using her own company because the unit was fairly new and she had a good working relationship withe them. I tried to insist on still sending our Sub contractor, to make sure that both companies made the same decision on the issue. At 9 am that Monday she called telling me that the roofers had hit a copper line in the attic with a nail. There is NO WAY FOR ANY ROOFER TO KNOW WHERE EACH OF THESE LINES LIE. Before 10, the repairs were done to the tune of 800, plus dollars. At no time did anyone from Acme say anything to her other than, please just deduct the full amount from the payment and enclose a copy of the invoice for our records, To recap this rebuttal; IT ABSOLUTELY INJUST TO MAKE A REPORT, RATING THE PRODUCT A "B", WHEN IN FACT THE OWNER KNOWS THAT IT IS NOT OUR PRODUCT. [member name removed] CONTRADICTS HER OWN COMPLAINT BY SAYING THAT I WASNT ON THE JOB, BUT THAT SHE WAS NOT HOME. SHE OBVIOUSLY COULD HAVE NEVER KNOW THAT I WAS THERE. ULTIMATELY, [member name removed] USED HER OWN AC CONTRACTORS AND THE COST OF REPAIR WAS SIMPLY TAKEN OFF OF THE BILL. EVERY PROJECT IS SUPERVISED BY A FOREMAN WITH MORE THAN 20 YEARS ROOFING EXPERIENCE."
