Alan (not Allen -- I think the phone-book listing is wrong) came out to fix our busted air conditioner on a horribly muggy Louisiana August day -- it was 90 degrees in the house. He diagnosed the bad motor quickly, worked with our home-warranty people to smooth things over, and was done within about an hour. Alan also does other HVAC and appliance services, and I see no reason to use anyone else. He was recommended by a friend and co-worker who's relied on him for seven years, and now we'll recommend him to anyone who asks. A good HVAC guy -- smart, honest, capable -- is an absolute necessity anywhere, but down here, well ...
