U Haul - Metairie

The people were nice but the system was terrible. They asked when we would pick it up and we had to give them a specific time. When we were going to be a little late, we called them and they implied it may not be there for us. We asked for pads or blankets but they said they were not available for us to rent.

The employees (kids) were incredibly rude to my wife, and wound up hanging up on her. They hung up on her after giving her so much attitude that she finally asked to have the order cancelled, which they didn't, and she had to follow up several times on the 800 #. She was trying to schedule pick up, storage, and delivery of our contents, as well as the rental of a truck. I'll NEVER use U-haul again. The little p*** caused my very polite, refined, and gracious wife to use terms I've never heard her use before. I guarantee one thing, if it'd been me in person that they treated that way, they would have learned an instant and valuable lesson about respect that the franchise owner hasn't yet taught them. And because they did it to a lady, AND over the phone, they are nothing more than thug cowards. Congrats to U-haul, they've found their niche.

My husband was the one that rented the truck. Their price was among the lowest when he called around and the truck didn't give us any trouble but it wasn't comfortable. The truck was not available when we had reserved it. We had to drive 4 hours to get the truck, and that wasn't much fun. We would not go with them again because we are too old to do that kind of work anymore. We would get a moving truck to do the work for us.
