Leveling the stones was done nicely. Pressure wash was marginal as many stone joints were not cleaned. Polmeric sand application was marginal as some areas had too much sand that wasn't brushed/blown away and some joints had no sand. Also the light colored sand was not removed from the pores of the dark stone border so those stones now look discolored. The sealing was the worst part as it was "misted" on very quickly across the stones such that you can't tell it was applied and there is NO gloss finish as promised. This was supposed to prevent ants and plants from growing in the joints and has failed miserably. Tony's low price is not worth the poor quality.

Overall the job was done very well and finished within two weeks of quote. The crew was very friendly, respectful, and completely cleaned up the project area. Tony agreed to install the patio using old bricks I had purchased and delivered from Masonry Products in New Orleans.  Excavation, removal of small area of old pavers, and brick laying was done in one day; however, his crew did not return to lay the poly sand for a week due to other jobs and weather delays.  The crew did a very nice job circling bricks around a crepe myrtle tree, but after I pressure washed the house, water did pool in one area by the back door, which concerns me that the job may not have been graded correctly.  Also, just a few days after the poly sand was laid, there are spots between bricks where the poly sand has settled enough that it looks like there is no sand between those bricks.  Since I wanted an older, weathered look, this doesn't really bother me.  There was a minor miscommunication in that I was quoted for poly sand, but then Tony was going to use mortar between the bricks, which we cleared up before the job began.  I'm happy with the job given the relatively low cost, and I would consider using Tony again for another project in the future.

I am giving him an A based on what a good price his was compared to all the other bids I got. Based on the price, I didn't
expect perfection or a seamless experience and I was right. I knew that my budget for the job was low, but the alternative was to not do it at all, so I tried to manage my expectations. The other bids I got were non-starters. Most were double what Tony charged.
 As others have mentioned, communication was a little difficult due to Tony's accent, but we managed. And yes, he is a bit gruff. The finished work was fine. They did what I asked and it looks good. Not perfect, not meticulous, but good. Again, within my expectations based on the price. He was also willing to use my big pile of old bricks salvaged from demolishing my chimney. Some of the other contractors were unwilling or skeptical of this but Tony didn't complain at all. 
My only complaint was the scheduling. He didn't show up when he initially said he would and he didn't call to let me know. When I called him he said he had been sick and gave me another date. He didn't show then either. When I called that time, the excuse was the weather which had put him behind on another job. Based on the forecast of sun for the next 5 days, he gave me yet another new date, saying he would start the next day. When I called him the next morning to confirm, he tried to put me off again, this time for another full week, but by that time I was annoyed and had had enough and after some strong words, his crew showed up the next day and began. 
They finished the job in a week. Overall, I am happy with what I got. 

The job was quoted and completed in 10 days. This is the third time I have used Tony's team and I really love their work. They give reasonable quotes, do the work in a timely manner, clean up and make sure the job is done right.  I plan to use them again soon to do my front walkway.

Tony was very difficult to understand, he is Brazilian and speaks Portuguese. But his installer, Johnnjy, also Brazilian, spoke well enough for them both. Johnny worked hard and long hour and was remarkably skilled. All 3 patios are beautiful, and all drain well. Great job, and I'll be hiring Tony for a small walkway job.

On time and did everything they said they would do. I am very pleased with the job. You could tell they were very experienced at this kind of work.

I'm very pleased with the work performed. My back yard was very uneven and had several obstacles to overcome. I had approximately 1100 square feet of grading and pavers installed. The work was done in a timely manner and the clean up was good. Tony himself did the estimating and made sure the work was done correctly. Tony's is a little hard to understand, he is from Brazil, but it was not a problem. I will definately use them again.
