The air conditioning went out in 85 degree weather two day ago. I had used Pontchartrain Mechanical to replace one of my A/C units right after Katrina and they did a super job (especially given the circumstances). I rang them on Monday to schedule a service call to check out the problem with my other unit. They were swamped with work but promised to come out on Wednesday. Mike rang me at 08:50 am Wednesday morning to say he was approaching the building. He troubleshot the unit, replaced the starter kit and added Freon. He pressure washed the coils and checked out the evaporator unit in the flat. I also had him check out the A/Cs for the other two units I own in the building - as preventive maintenance. He checked the pressures and the freon and pressure washed the coils. So he repaired one unit and inspected two others for a total cost of $444 including parts and labor (and including a $60 call out charge). He was in and out in 90 minutes. I would definitely use Pontchartrain Mechanical again.
Description of Work: Trouble shoot and repair the air conditioning unit for my condo in the historic Medallion Building in downtown New Orleans.
