Cabinet Making
We met several times in the showroom and came up with a good plan for our 100sq ft kitchen. The price seemed a bit high for what were getting. When asked for a breakdown of the pricing, our requests were ignored. On March 8, 2013, we gave 50% deposit for the cabinets and 50% deposit for the installation. The quality of communication dropped off precipitously after the money was received. Questions were either not answered or were answered with terse, unhelpful responses.
Cabinets arrived May 6, 2013, installation took place the next 2 days. A couple pieces were missing and took another month to come in. The whole job wrapped up on June 10.
The cabinets were pricey but they look great. The process was slow and I did not feel like a valued customer - especially after payment was received.

I had a disappointing experience with Nordic Kitchens. The level of customer service I received was poor. Items were not ordered nor delivered as promised. The day before my cabinets were to be installed, I received a call from Nordic, notifying me that the installler was on a large job, and would not be able to install the cabinets for another week. When they did come to install, they did not have all the items I ordered , one cabinet was damaged, and the installeer had no intention of telling me about the damaged cabinet. The power strip I had ordered held up my installation for four weeks and when finally came in, I had to pick it up at the warehouse and the strip was the wrong size. Other items were not received on time. Had I not stayed on top of this, I probably would still be waiting for my items.
I wish I had not shaken off the two Angie reviews i read before I decided to go with Nordic. I thought mabye they were isolated incidents, but my experience was very similar to both of them.
I would think twice before going with Nordic.

We remodeled the back section of our home to incorporate a new kitchen. Nordic was helpful with the layout and style we wanted. Very professional floor plans and schematics. Plans were updated per our requests. Installation support and guidance was helpful until the point we went with a 3rd party counter top installer rather than Nordic's recommended supplier. (Side note: Nordic's supplier quoted the counter top job at $5500. The 3rd party installer completed the counter top job for $3100.) At this point, the installation support for all areas dropped. Not just questions related to the counter top installation, but questions on back-ordered faucets, hood vent installation, sink installation, etc. All inquiries required repeated calls and emails to Nordic. The invoices arrived with generic line item names for the cabinets (e.g. single line item - cabinets as per plans). The appliance invoices included the manufacture's code and minimal description of the appliance. The "All Sales are Final" policy is buried in the fine print, but not verbally communicated. There was no walk through of the invoice with an explanation of each line item. We were stuck with any unwanted items. All in all, our experience started positive with the design phase of the project. Nordic has the experience and knowledge to provide a 1st class kitchen design. Inadequate post-sales support and an unwillingness to accept a unwanted item soured our overall experience.
