MAKOFSKY INSPECTION SERVICES

He did a thorough job. I have an immaculate job, and he found gigs. He was pretty punctual, because they went and inspected my house the time they said they would.

I would use Mr Makofsky again in a second. We built the house and had some minor issues pop up. He came out and told us about structural issues that we wouldn't have been able to tell until it was too late to file against the builder. It was money well spent. My only regret is that we didn't have an inspection before each draw during the building process. It would have saved us from lots of grief.

First he came half an hour late and then only spend 1 hour for inspection .One hour of work cost $300 and that is more than a lawyer or a doctor . I receive an inspection report next day via email . All he did was walking around house turn the light switches and water. I didn't even know how long he was in attics, maybe 2 minutes .This is my second house and I will not hire someone like him if I buy another house in the future.

What a nice experience to deal with the husband and wife duo of Donald and Paula. Paula was excellent in providing information by phone, helping to settle nerves, and ensuring a quick and timely appointment. Donald showed up on time and spent approximately 2.5 hours covering every inch of our home. Even though the home was new construction, he made sure that nothing was overlooked and also found things that I would of never thought of inspecting myself. If you are a worrier like me, Donald is the guy for you! At over a hundred dollars cheaper than the other two quotes I got, and with the issues that he found that will be eleminated prior to us purchasing, Makofsky was well worth the money spent. He not only went over the finding with my hunsband, myself, and the builder, but he furnished a complete and well organized report within 24 hours of the inspection. I highly recommend Makofsky for your home inspection, whether you are buying new or used!

Mr. Makofsky was very thorough and helpful. He came out the same day I called and had the report ready within two business days. His business partner (wife) met me afterwards and delivered the report and I have been able to reach them both for questions about the report. I would recommend them to my friends and use them again in the future. If anyone else is undergoing Katrina/Rita rebuilding I highly recommend getting an inspection before you start work and afterwards. Additionally if you have had work finished getting a report may not be a bad thing to do. P.S. Some more unsolicited advice...Have an attorney review your contract before you sign!
