Do supervise everything this guy does - or it will be done in a less than perfect manner.\
Do not advance any money for parts - he will not bring you receipts or purchase orders. If you buy supplies, go with him and supervise everything. Make sure all parts/supplies are stored at your premises.
Do not under any circumstances pay him in advance for any labor until the job is finished.
If you order specialty tiles, glass panels, etc. pay for them yourself and either pick them up yourself or have them delivered to us. This is how he stole $2,000 from us. We advanced the money for the glass enclosure and he kept the money without placing any order. He simply stalled and cancelled appointments to six weeks before he stopped answering his telephone at all.
WE FILED A POLICE REPORT FOR THE THEFT OF THE $2000 AND WILL HAVE TO PURSUE LEGAL ACTIONS TO GET JUDGMENTS AGAINST HIM. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID. HE IS A SMOOTH TALKER AND KEEPS GETTING YOU INTO THE NEXT PROJECT BEFORE THE FIRST AND SECOND ONES ARE DONE.
