Description of Work: I hired him to redo some things in my house. He worked up to a certain point till he got all the money and then he didn't finish the work.

Description of Work: Donald "Kevin" Parker sells himself as a contractor with several skilled employees inn all types of residential remodeling. He contracted to do several small jobs at our house on a pay as we go basis. We stripped our second bathroom and did a total remodel. Kevin's wife and father-in-law did the tile work. They did a terrific job. Kevin struggled getting the finishing items done such as the cabinet, the drain hookup in the bathtub, and baseboards. I highly recommend his wife, but would stay away from Kevin at all costs. He ordered the wrong tiles at the wholesale distributor which caused a two-week delay to get another order delivered. The outside 20' x 18' deck had to be done twice because the original base was not plumb and square. He only discovered these two critical problems when he started attaching the surface boards which would not line up properly. He removed the surface boards and reset the base supports and runners. The ending deck looks like an amateur put it together - there are numerous boards that do not adequate nails and nails that do not go into the base support. I would not recommend hiring him to do a deck for you. Kevin installed a new door on the back of the house which took a considerable amount of time to complete but is satisfactory.\ The biggest problem we had with Kevin is that he did a less than ideal job on the floor of our shower in the master bathroom. Then he stole $2,000 and will not respond to our telephone calls or return the money. The money was paid in two installments - half when the glass for the shower enclosure was ordered and half when he was to pick up the glass and install the shower enclosure. The final installation cost of labor was to be paid upon completion. TO REPEAT - DONALD KEVIN PARKER D/B/A LOCALS HELPING LOCALS STOLE $2,000 FROM US.
