2 years ago when I was moving, I searched for movers and found Lefty's on Angie's List. The movers arrived approximately 20 minutes after schedule which was not a problem. There were four men handling the move and they were pretty professional. They began working and had the contents loaded on the truck within about 2 hours which seemed great. I was dismayed however as they had the truck fully loaded and had no room to take my washer and dryer which I subsequently paid someone else to move. Although they had blankets, they did not use them/have enough for all of the furniture. The crew was taking a different route than I was using to get to the new house. They said they would make a quick stop to pick up lunch on the way. My route is approx. 45-55 minutes but they were using the Interstate which generally takes 35-40 minutes. I confirmed with them upon leaving that they knew how to get to the new home. About 2 hours later, I got a call that the crew was lost. The company informed me that they would credit me for half hour. The movers arrived about 1/2 hour later. They were rushing because they had another commitment for a contract vendor. It took them approximately an hour and a half to get everything off the truck. They were haphazard because they were rushing so much. At that time, I did not blame the movers as they were busting their butts but I was annoyed with the company. I mentioned to my husband that moving companies should hire 2 crews..one to load and a fresh one to unload as there was a very distinct difference in the crew loading and unloading. I had already planned to give the movers a tip of $50 each. I did provide that but I was angry with the company and not with them. The owner made it sound as if it was my fault for misquoting how much I had to move which resulted in their inability to fit my washer and dryer although she asked very specific questions and I basically inventoried the items in each room when scheduling. My husband to this day say's that I got what I deserved for hiring a company named "Lefty's". I was new to Angie's list and didn't write a bad review which I am glad as I have had time to digest whether or not I am fair in my assessment. The cost I am stating is approximate as it was 2 years ago and we paid cash but I remember thinking that with the tip, it was around $1000. The price was slightly lower than 2 other estimates. I guess you get what you pay for. I did discover NUMEROUS dings and gashes in my wood furniture, my husband literally had to remove mattresses and re-assemble both beds and again, I had to pay someone else to move my washer and dryer. I did consider filing a claim because of my damaged furniture but after reading the policy CAREFULLY, decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Even after 2 years, I am thinking while writing this what a TERRIBLE experience it was.

Overall the experience with Lefty's was positive and I would recommend them to friends and colleagues. The entire move from start to finish took 71/2 hours to complete.

Overall, the experience was the easiest moving experience, I have had. I just wish I had been more organized!

They were inexpensive. They were there exactly when they should be. They worked very hard, and it was a really great experience I have had. I have had a lot of experience with movers in the last few years, and they were absolutely the ones asked. They are local movers, and they are great. They don't provide services to move from here to outer states. They had four guys and the boss and it was $150 plus another $150 for the truck for a day. It was just incredibly cheap. I would use them in the future if needed.

We had a great overall experience with Lefty's. Pat was very nice to deal with. She took care of the scheduling, she asked in detail about the furniture they would be moving and gave me an accurate quote.

The moving crew had personality, we liked them. They arrived on time. There were four movers and Bill, who ran the crew. The guys were friendly and professional. Bill was easy going and his experience showed. They had packed the moving truck so full that I gave a couple of the guys a ride from our storage unit to the new house. One of them had been working at Lefty's for 23 years and the other for 5 years.

1850 sq ft house, two stops. They finished in four hours and met their estimated price.
