After calling a few of the appraisers who were already recommended on Angie's List, I was referred to Mr. Leze. The others were too busy to get my appraisal done within my time frame. Mr. Leze was recommended by another Angie's List appraiser, Mickey Bantuelle.
I called Mr. Leze on Tuesday and he made an appointment to come to my house the following day. He quoted me a price of $250 to do the appraisal, which was below other prices I had seen on Angie's List and been quoted by other appraisal services. Mr. Leze was extremely prompt and professional and I received my appraisal in email format by the following Monday! I was amazed and impressed by the prompt turnaround and by the quality of the appraisal. I also received paper copies of the appraisal by mail within a week.
My home is in Uptown New Orleans and though Mr. Leze has his office in Metairie, he was very knowledgeable about Uptown as well. I was able to submit my appeal to the New Orleans Assessor's Office via email the day after I received it from Mr. Leze and I had a reply from the City within the week. All in all, it was an extremely satisfactory experience.
