I bought a glass-top desk here, and it spontaneously exploded for absolutely no reason. Customer service did nothing to help, despite this being a faulty product that they sold. Instead of trying to help me find a solution, they said that they'd never had glass explode (like that absolves them, because mine just did? so you have had glass explode) and therefore it wasn't their fault. My desk was purchased 2 years ago, and despite this being a very exceptional and dangerous circumstance, they only warranty products within a year of purchase. However, they "don't warranty glass," apparently, although this was never outlined anywhere on my documents or receipt that I have, so 1-year-warranty or not, it looks like they still would not have helped me. Just wanted to warn anyone on here, if you buy furniture from this place, they will bend over backwards to not help you. They don't warranty glass, and their glass explodes. It was tempered glass, and yet it exploded into tiny sharp pieces and a bunch of dangerous dust. I'm still cleaning it up 3 days later. This glass does not break, it explodes, and it travels 20 feet, at least, in every direction. I warn anyone who is thinking of purchasing from here to reconsider.

The store had a good selection and after a second trip to the store we picked out a pedestal table, with the six matching chairs. The set took about a month or so to be delivered, then within two months two of the chairs had broken, the table top was peeling, and the table top wobbled so much that if someone leans on the table your drink could get knocked over. I contacted customer service and they stated that their policy was to fix/replace the broken pieces, and they would not allow us to return the set as I requested. I told them that these problems seem to indicate to me that this is not a quality set and I would rather return them for store credit. She insisted we let the manufacture try to make it right. Hurwitz Mintz sent out representatives who inspected the furniture and agreed it needed to be fixed. From there it took SIX MONTHS to get the replacement pieces in, and get the table fixed and chairs replaced. This meant we had to warn everyone who came over for the holidays not to sit down "too hard" or not to put any weight on the table. During those six months no one ever contacted me to provide me with updates, I had to keep calling and asking. When the pieces arrived they sent out two people to replace the table top and replace the broken chairs. The table still wobbled, and they said that is just the way it is (even though the store model wasn't like that). Two months later another chair broke, and the table is peeling again. I went to the store to talk to the manager and she assured me she would work with the manufacturer to resolve this. I told her again I don't want this set, I want to return it. She told me to give her a week, it has now been six weeks and she won't return my phone calls or emails. I will never buy from here again. They do not take any responsibility in providing quality merchandise.

I spent a long time looking at furniture in New Orleans before going to Hurwitz Mintz.  I brought pictures on my IPAD, and measurements which were helpful in making choices. After explaining what I wanted to the sales person, he showed me many  possibilities.  He helped in the elimination process as well. After I chose the sofa brand and style that I wanted, the salesperson helped a lot with narrowing down the fabric. I loved the sofa, the material and the color.  I struggle with decisions and having someone to give me advice was definitely helpful. I  would  buy furniture there again.  I wasn't in a big hurry for the furniture, which was lucky, because it took 3 weeks to be custom made, but another 6 weeks to be delivered from New Orleans to Thibodaux.  The skirt was wrinkled from being folded and taped in storage.  However, they sent a service man out to steam it and the wrinkle came out.  I'm very happy with my purchase, and the wait was not a problem for me.

I went to the store and found the couch that would fit perfectly with my decor. I asked if they deliver and they said yes. So I arranged for the delivery the next day and around 10 am they came by and delivered my couch with the plastic still on it. I have hard wood floors and they put the pads on the feet of my new couch and hauled away my old one. I would recommend them to anyone.

They have done an outstanding job. The delivery was quick. There was a problem when they delivered the sofa and it got a little scratch, however they came out and fixed it right away. I am extremely impressed by them. The decorator I'm using is very excellent. She is very knowledgeable and very helpful.
