George Kellett & Sons

I received a certified letter from Kellett and Sons Building Products, located at 1600 L & A Road, Metairie, Louisiana, 70001 on January 17, 2015 dated January 15, 201. In the letter, the vice-president, Ms. Debbie C. Dunham states that there is a demand for $1, 232.79 for materials used by Royal Renovations of Kenner, Louisiana for renovations on my house that was never paid for by Royal Renovations even though I had paid Royal Renovations in full on October 17, 2014 and have a receipt stating paid in full. In addition, if the bill was not paid within the next ten days, according to Louisiana Civil Code R.S. 9:4802(G), a lien would be placed against my home resulting in an additional $400.00 in attorney's fees. I received this letter on Saturday, January 17, 201 and my wife called on Monday, January 19, 201 to inquire about his issue. Speaking with Ms. Dunham from the beginning was very tenuous at best. She was very abrasive, abusive and unprofessional. When trying to get information about the situation, she kept referring to the Louisiana Civil Code. I made a second call to Kellett and Sons to request additional information from them, and as Ms. Dunham was "at lunch", I was referred to Ms. Lisa who was very reluctant to and would not give me any additional information. Eventually Ms. Dunham called me back and when I requested additional information about this information about this situation, she stated, "look, we have been over this a thousand times, our relationship with Royal Renovations is our relationship". At this point I stated that this was only the third time that I had spken to her and that as I was being held responsible for Royal Renovations irresponsibility in not paying their bills, I felt that I was entitled to some information. At this point I felt that Ms. Dunham was not going o be forthcoming and that I might want to discuss this matter with the owner Mr. George Kellett. When I called back and asked to speak to Mr. George Kellett the owner, his employees stated that he is not there and that he is in and out all day. I have left my name and phone number every time I have called. As of January 29, 2015, Mr. George Kellett the owner of Kellett and Sons Building products has not called me.
