I called them yesterday because my oven was beeping constantly with an error code. Initially, they did not have an opening until Friday because one of their guys was out. But when I told them we could not put up with the noise any longer they said they would call me as soon as something opened up. Within an hour I had a call that he could come out in 20 min. He arrived promptly, was professional and courteous. Got tot he job on hand and gave me an estimate for repairs. Turns out the parts are pretty expensive and it is not worth replacing a 15 yr old oven. So, we will be buying a new one. I might use them for the new installation also.

A&R is a star in appliance repair and customer service. They arrived on time, took his shoes off when requested. He repaired my refrigerator in no more than 1/2 hour and in addition repaired the garbage disposal and the dryer ( minor problems). There was NO mess to clean up afterwards. Really I can't say enough nice things about A&R repair. This was the best repair service I have EVER had.

I called A&R that morning and they came out that afternoon. A&R was amazing! He came out in the window the office gave me, and he called about 30 minutes prior to his arrival. He was very nice and professional! He gave me the quote before he started working, and made sure my washer did a full cycle before leaving.
I will definitely use them in the future for all of my appliance issues!

Great service! The repairman was punctual (within a 2 hour window). He was polite and dedicated himself to the task at hand. When he determined which part was needed to fix the dryer, he immediately quoted the price of the repair and labor. Upon our agreeing to the price he set off to pick up the part.
Unfortunately he hit a snag: due to a glitch, the dryer gave the incorrect code so he had to get another part. We were charged the same price we were quoted originally, even though the correct part was more expensive. He went to get it promptly and finished fixing the dryer quickly. By the way, his work area was always neat.

He was extremely polite and professional, always asking before doing
anything (such as using a towel to sop up the wet floor). He cleaned up
very well after himself, and expressed that if the dishwasher still had
a problem after he left, he would come back for free. (I'm sure, within
a certain time period...). Scheduling was easy, and very friendly personnel.

Dishwasher wouldn't cycle and after DYI efforts from online manuals contacted A&R from Angie's List ratings. Real person answered phone, collected information about problem, make, model and efforts so far. Offered a two-hour window next day with fees. Owner/Repair Man phoned earlier in day to say he was then available, if I wanted earlier service call, which I welcomed. Arrived promptly. Was courteous, respectful of home, interested in what I had attempted so far. Quickly diagnosed problem on basis of his knowledge of the quirks of this particular model. Was able to diagnose and remedy without unnecessary disassembly....at my request took the time to teach me how to DIY next time. Honored Angie's discount.

My whirlpool washer was not washing. After reading some reviews, I was comfortable with the responses from A & R. I placed a call that morning and a service man came to me that afternoon. He was very knowledgeable and identifed the problem in less than 5 minutes. He replaced the sensor in the machine lid and I haven't had a problem since. He then gave me some suggestions as to what needed to be done in order for my dryer to get hotter. I was very satisfied with their service and would refer them to others.

I have used A & R many times, and continue to use them because the service is excellent! I called Thursday afternoon and told them the microwave was dead (no electricity to it at all), and told them we were in something of a hurry to get this fixed. They scheduled us for the next day. I asked to have the technician call on his way to our condo so I could be sure to be there. Russell called on schedule, met me at our condo, opened up the microwave, identified the problem and replaced the bad fuse. He was fast, friendly, and professional and I would gladly use A&R in the future.

My Whirlpool refrigerator is 15 years old and I knew that something would break on it eventually. Living on the west bank, there are some service companies that will not service this area. A & R made the process to fix the problem very easy! I had contacted 3 other service repair companies and 2 of them did not call me back and the other charged way to much money. A & R is really the best service repair company in the New Orleans area. They told me upfront how much the service charge was going to cost (one of the least inexpensive I have found), exactly when a service technician would be at my house. In my case, the tech was coming out the next morning.
When the morning arrived, I realized I had to go out of the house for an appointment, so I called A & R and the women was very friendly and courteous. She said it would be fine and gave me the service techs direct number and told me to call him when I returned later in the afternoon. When I did return, I gave him a call and he was at my house in 15 minutes.
After explaining what was happening, he was able to diagnose the problem within 10 minutes. Made the recommendation to buy a replacement water filter housing, gave me the price for the part ($98), explained that labor would cost $75 to install and that he could go out get the part now and have it fixed within an hour. I agreed and he did just that. The part was installed, he hooked up the water lines, turned the water on, made sure it was not dripping anymore, reminded me that the repair was under warranty for 90 days.
Very prompt service, very friendly, very affordable.

My gas dryer was making a loud squeaking noise. I called A&R Appliance & Repairs on Wednesday. My call
was returned around 5pm that evening. By noon the next morning I had a repair technician checking out my dryer.
He found the problem and informed me of the cost to repair. I accepted his quote so he then started looking for the
replacement parts. He located them in a near by town and advised me that he would drive and retreive the parts.
Within about one hour he returned with parts, it probably took him about 30 minutes to replace bad parts. He cranked
up my dryer and it sounded like it was new again, no noise.

They were real good. The service went great. They were real good about setting up the appointment. I have tenants at the place they went; it is my rental property. They are deaf and can't hear. They had a technician that could sign language and communicate with them. I would certainly use them again.

Daniel repaired our Kenmore dishwasher. He was punctual and very professional. He assessed the problem, presented us with options and provided guidance in order to make an informed decision regarding the dishwasher (i.e., repair or purchase a new one). From the lady who scheduled the appointment to the work being completed, I was very happy with A&R and would definitely use them again. The only reason I gave the price a "B" was because I didn't like having to spend over $300!!!)
UPDATE: I've been meaning to update this review for a while now. Unfortunately, this expensive repair lasted about one week past the 90 day warranty period; then the problem began again. I called A&R about a week out of warranty and was told I would have to pay for at least a service call. I opted not to do that being short on cash. Several months later the dishwasher completely stopped working again. While I did consult with A&R again, we opted to purchase a new 'mediium level' Frigidaire dishwasher from Lowe's last October and have been extremely happy with our purchase.
I wish I would have asked about the warranty PRIOR to authorizing a $311.14 repair on a six year old dishwasher. (The new dishwasher did not cost must more than the repair!) When I thought to ask, it was too late because the repair was alredy done. Live and learn.

A&R was scheduled to the house to repair a Jenn-Air "27" single oven. The oven had stopped working with an error message that a sensor was malfunctioning. The service call was made by Russell, the "R" in their name. He arrived on time, after calling to advise me that he was on the way.
Russell performed an inspection and a battery of tests, finding no failed parts (e.g. thermostats, switches, etc.) That left only the master control circuit board as the probable culprit. He then advised me that he would perform a master reset, requiring removing all connections to the board, and that this was the only action left to him. If this failed to rectify the problem, or if the problem recurred, a replacement control board would be required at a cost of several hundred dollars.
Fortunately for me, the reset did return the oven to full functionality. I ended up paying for an approximately a one-hour service call at $77.19 after the 5% Angie's discount.
In summary, Russell was very cordial, punctual, and apparently well familiar with my appliance. After speaking to the man for a short time, I was confident that I would receive an honest diagnosis and quality service at a fair price.
I would not hesitate to recommend A&R Appliance Service, Inc. to any of my friends or acquaintances.

We called this company because we'd had a knocking in our refrigerator for several months. The repairman was able to come a day or so later; he was right on time, quickly diagnosed the problem (a bad defrost timer), and even gave us the background on the problems that had occurred in this part in this brand of refrig. He left briefly to get the part, then returned and completed the work quickly. It seemed to us that the price was reasonable, especially for the quality of service that we received.

My dryer wasn't starting, and they diagnosed that it was a faulty switch (the dryer didn't recognize that the door was closed), they had the part on hand and replaced it in under an hour.
