General Remodeling
We have an old house that we have been renovating in stages over the past few years. I've worked with contractors and tradesmen. Steve Sanchez (prioprietor of Tex-San Construction) is professional and honest. He quoted me a price and stuck to it. When he encountered unexpected problems outside the initial scope of work, he showed us and gave us a good solution at a fair price so we could decide how best to proceed. For instance, we were at work when Steve pulled up the floor downstairs and found the termite-eaten floor joists. He took a picture of the damaged joists and sent it to my husband, along with his repair solution. My husband (who is an engineer), approved it. The guys did the repairs and sent pictures of the repairs to my husband before closing it up. When my tenants got home from work that evening, that part of the work was finished with no inconvenience to them.
When I have questions or concerns, Steve listens and gives sound advice. Sometimes in an old house, there is more than one solution to a problem and Steve is willing to think outside the box, which I appreciate. What I also appreciate is that he has extensive experience with older houses and is able to give me the benefit of this expertise. Steve cares about workmanship. My balcony, stairs, and even my shed are beautiful and well-built. He uses quality materials.
In my experience with this kind of work, there are always discrepancies, perhaps something not quite finished or not done the way I wanted it. Steve addresses these immediately. I never had to worry whether he would answer his calls or dispute a point. Steve's manner is personable and professional and he takes pride in his work.
I would definitely hire Tex-San Construction again.
