Harry was very familiar with old New Orleans homes and common problems associated with them. He also has experience in new residential construction and real estate so he was able to provide advice on the latest advancements in construction techniques and materials, renovation, home safety, and home efficiency technology. He also knows what to look for related to potential homeowner insurance coverage and inspections so any "red-flags" can be addressed before engaging insurance companies.  He was extremely thorough in his inspection. It took him about 4 hours to finish the 3000 sq ft home. He welcomed and encouraged me to follow him around and he took every opportunity possible to fully explain to me all of the good, bad and ugly that we encountered. I learned a ton from this experience and visited places in the home that people living there their entire lives may never have seen. Harry ended up discovering some well hidden defects to the electrical system that would have really cost me big time on repair and insurance (not to mention the safety issues) if he hadn't uncovered them first. Harry provided a detailed, but easy to read and succinct, report within 24 hours of completing the inspection. The report became a useful tool in negotiating repairs with the sellers, they did not argue at all and actually plan to use Crosby Inspection for the home they are about to go under contract on.
