Replaced blower motor....original price way out of line...they reduced by$400 when i pushed back...still overcharged but needed ac....they pushed for follow up inspection on other two units....tried to charge for unit I just had inspected. I pushed back feeling overcharged...they reduced fee again. Said I needed added work or replacement of unit I just paid $1300 to repair....only offered $173 credit for work done two weeks earlier. Overall the inspection work cost me $247 per hour just for labor. They are very responsive in getting to you because they overcharge!! Stay far away from these guys.

"Mr. [Member Name Removed], I understand that you that you were upset about the cost associated with the motor and capacitor replacement after you looked on the internet and found a low cost associated with the motor and capacitor. We do not purchase from the internet, only from a supply house which allows us to warranty all parts sold for one year. Most internet sales have no warranty and no taxes added. While the actual time to replace the motor and capacitor may have seemed short and the part cost low, the ability to diagnose the problem, have the proper parts on the truck and complete the repair in a timely fashion is the result of an investment of our time to train and willingness to commit funds to an inventory that allows for the quick repair. Our service mechanics earn a living wage, have benefits and a support staff to answer your call and dispatch in the efficient manner, in light of high energy prices. We feel our prices are competitive and as reasonable as we can be for us to continue to be in business today and in the future. If you feel overcharged, I respectfully would ask you to compare diagnosing the problem yourself, ordering the part online, wait for delivery, installing them yourself, and NOT having a one year warranty should the parts fail. I had a complete A/C and duct replacement, in my home. Burkhardt's excels in both customer service and detail to their craft. The whole process was "6 stars out of 5"! I never once felt pressured into anything. Special shout out to Louie (Salesman), Micah and Steven (Installation Team) for a great job. These guys pay attention to all details! My home already feels much more comfortable. I would absolutely highly recommend Burkhardt's A/C and Heating, to anyone looking to get their A/C System replaced. All of the techs that came out were courteous and professional. They laid out what they were going to do and completed the job in one day. They constructed a new box for the return air to increase the capacity, installed the new units and tested. I received a call the next day asking about the work and was everything satisfactory? They said a tech would be out in 3 weeks to check everything, which he did yesterday. Burkhardt has followed through on their commitments and on time. We probably could have found someone cheaper, but received a good job in a professional manner and they seem to stand behind their work.

Burkhardt schedule a technician promptly who completed a diagnostic of the AC system, identified the issue and took the time to properly explain the system repair vs replacement options never trying to push me into the more costly path forward. Actually, the technician did the opposite which is how you keep clients calling you again the next time you have an issue!!! When my AC does require replacement, I will definitely be having it done through Burkhardt. If someone from the company is reading this, give Alex a pat on the back because he represented your company very well today!

It went VERY well. I would HIGHLY recommend them, as they are very knowledgeable, and extremely trustworthy. And they stand behind their work. There were a few components that didn't work properly at first and they responded promptly and replaced them without any hesitation. Now everything works perfectly! The installers were all very pleasant and professional, and they left every area that they touched completely clean and tidy when they were done. We had been using them for maintenance and trouble shooting on our old units, and had total confidence in their replacing everything and maintaining it going forward.

The tech Alex, was on time and professional. Covered shoes while in house so he would not track any dirt in or from the attic. Checked and cleaned unit both in attic and outside. Found potential issues that may cause issues in the future.

Service was easy to schedule, and they were able to work us in quickly. Serviceman was very polite, professional, and seemed very well educated. Service was performed in a timely manner. I would not use, or recommend Burkhardt Air. They gave us a quote, then five minutes later substantially increased the quote by more than a thousand dollars. Thankfully my husband has some knowledge and knew it was definitely not ethical.

"Mrs. [Member Name Removed] We are sorry that you are unhappy with our services. I have review your file and what all of our technician did and quoted. We went out for an Angie's List Tune Up and Cleaning. During our cleaning we found the drain line to be clogged and also the contactor was burned up. We added a ball valve to clean out the drain easier and also replaced the contactor. While assessing your overall system, we found it to be extremely dirty, including the duct system and grilles. We gave a quote of $269 to pull and clean the blower motor and then check the Freon charge. We then also have a quote of $4,500 to replace all of the ductwork, grille boxes, and plenums. We did not increase the price of the original quote, we gave another option that was way more expensive but also way more extensive in the work and material. I apologize for the miscommunication."
