Because of the on and off rain, my problem went unnoticed and water was leaking for weeks. I called the utility company and in my haste to stop the leak I said yes to cut my water off. I then checked Angie?s List and saw good reviews on Big Branch Plumbing and decided to give them a try. Right off the bat, the owner, Mr. Ted Percle, was so very nice, and professional when I called. It was 5/27/2015 and he said he would be out in a couple of hours. The weather got very nasty but still he came and assessed the situation and put the water back on for me on low pressure. Mr. Ted said he would have someone out first thing in the morning. Sure enough, next morning, a very nice man, Shawn, was already digging and dug for the next two hours and repaired the line. It was hard work, very hot, but he went to it like a trooper. The pine tree root he cut away was almost, if not, 6 inches in diameter.
I am super please with the empathy for my dilemma, the professionalism, the punctuality and of course the work itself. I would not hesitate to tell anyone to give them a try.
They came out within 20 minutes of me calling and installed a new water heater.
First review was written soon after service and I should update on what occurred later: The connection to a radiant heating system connected to this water heater was leaking into the pan under the unit . This is in an attic and out of sight, so it was some time before I discovered this. Once again, the plumber came soon after my call and corrected the problem, but it was disturbing because that was the connection that prompted me to call the plumber in the first place.
I believe that when a hot water heater is drained, the client should be asked before releasing 50 gallons of hot water onto the property, because it may need to be redirected to another location that will cause no problem.
They were to return to repair a faucet, but were never heard from again
The plumber was prompt, professional, and the work was perfect.
I highly recommend them!
The little things were done well, they professionally mounted the new unit building a sturdy new structure in the attic to attach it to.They added the proper clean out valves at the input and output of the heater needed for maintenance. The piping to the unit had to be upgraded to code (the previous installation was pretty shoddy) and they did that very well.
Todd took all the time in the world to show us how to operate the new heater and answered all our questions. They CLEANED UP THEIR MESS when they left and went to efforts to not make much of one in the first place putting down mats etc to minimize it.
I was also impressed that the electrician was lined up arriving when the installation was finished, all was completed at once.
I was happy with the price, they were here for several hours and they earned every bit of their charge.(The Stiebel unit was a bit more than you could get at the big-box store, but well worth every penny.)
I would definitely recommend Big Branch to anyone, they install quality equipment and are very good at what they do.
His crew spent about 6 hours to: remove the old heater from the attic, tap into the existing gas supply, installed roof venting, installed the tankless heater and by-pass kit for cleaning. They then walked me through all the upkeep items.Ted and his crew are respectful and courteous; they cleaned up behind themselves and had a great attitude. Can’t say enough good things about their customer service. I will use them again without hesitation.
