Dr. Stark is one of the most knowledgeable and compassionate vets I have ever seen. I continue to take my pets to him. He listened to the problem, examined the cat and explained what needed to be done. My cat had swallowed a large amount of string and needed surgery immediately. Dr. Stark saved my cat. What could be better than that? I recommend this vet to everyone.

First I will say Dr Joe Stark is an excellent vet, very good with animals. I have used him for a very long time, with both dogs and cats. Since I have several pets and they were all rescues, he has always beenvery good to let me pay monthly payments. I always paid them faithfully until paid in full and tried to space out the visits accordingly so as not to rack up too many charges. One day, I needed to bring my dog in, called the office to see if I could bring her in. The lady at the desk said yes, I could bring her with the understanding that the office visit had to be paid in full. Knowing I would have extra charges, including meds, I said I would not be able to pay the total amount but that Dr. Stark knew me and usually let me pay monthly. She became very rude and said it would not be allowed anymore. I very politely asked if Dr. Stark could come to the phone; he did, and I asked him about it. He said due to many clients not paying their tabs, he no longer allowed monthly payments. I asked him if he would make any consideration since I was a long-time client and he knew I always paid. He became very short with me and said, no that is the way it is now, and hung up. I understand many people are irresponsible and do not pay, but as a result of his attitude, to me, he showed lack of compassion for my sick dog, and also my other furkids by not allowing me to bring them back and I was sad and upset that I had tried to pay faithfully and he basically shut the door in my face. Needless to say, we found another vet.
