Our Realtor recommended that we go with a Lafayette title attorney, as the ones in New Iberia could be kind of . . . dodgy. We chose Tuten Title and Escrow as it was obvious that they had a close working relationship with our mortgage broker and our real estate agent. The first thing that struck me was that our attorney has an affinity for bow ties, and that he totally lifts, bro. Anyway, we first signed a power of attorney, as there was a possibility that I'd be working out of town through close. He very clearly laid out everything in layman terms and encouraged questions. We received email notifications about what they found with respect to the property's title. Rye's fee was wrapped up in closing costs. When close came around, I was, of course, out of town. According to my wife, the close went quickly and without any surprises. I would recommend Rye and his crew to anyone needing title work done.

They came to my house because I couldn't leave and they were very good. I like about their availability and communication. They charged fees to come out but they were covered in the closed settlement. Everything was pretty cut and dried. I liked their experience but they asked me to sign papers again.
