I was incredibly pleased with his interior work; however, I don't know who he used for the exterior work. The pitch of the roof was flat in one area. This area held water and became rotted and molded. There were four posts that held the driveway up and those also rotted. The driveway held a lot of water to the point that I had to be careful of going out to get into my car. The paint on the house didn't even last a year. The list goes on. John is local in the area and I have begged him multiple times to come out to fix the work. I have been talking to him on and off since it happened; however, I cannot get him to stand behind the work at all. I went to the attorney general, but it seems as though he has been sued by many individuals. He is not licensed, insured or bonded which is part of the issue. I could not go after his license or anything because he does not have it. I went to an attorney to see what my options were, but the attorney said the case would be okay. The attorney's concern was that the plans were so general that it wouldn't hold up in court. I also have had some medical issues; thus, my doctors would not allow me to take the stand should I follow through with the lawsuit. Due to all of these circumstances, I just decided to count my losses. I hired another company recently to replace all of the rotten wood and to take care of the mold issue due to this rotting. They also fixed the driveway and roof. I just want to be sure that no one else has the same experience.
Description of Work: He was to double the size of the house, add a back porch and do flooring. Basically everything inside the home and on the outside including roofing, driveway, painting, flooring, etc.
