Our vets are right there in case anything happens. They're very good at following instructions if you have a special feed schedule or diet. They're very friendly with the dogs. They're very clean, it's comfortable. They have a little room and each one have it's own bed with a blanket, a water bowl, and they also have a run where they can go outside.

I like the location, it's convenient. They have an outdoor and indoor play area. Depending on the weather, the dogs are protected. There are a range of size dogs, so they're not just grouped in with their own size so they get specialization. The only thing that could be better is their app, like if they show how many punches I have, so that I can see a reload it through the app instead of having to go inside.

I think they're very informative. They let you know what they're doing and why. They're very friendly and make you feel welcomed. My dog was not afraid to go them, so they're very comforting to the pets. They are a little high on price, but you get what you pay for. The waiting area is nice. You're not waiting to long.

Fantastic Vet! I highly recommend based on professionalism, and truely caring about your pet. I've taken 3 of my cats here, and they are truely the best! They remember my kitties and remember my cat that passed away. At the time of putting her to sleep, the vet and vet tech's were so professional, caring, and sensitive. They truely wanted it to make it a touching and lasting moment. I'll never go to another vet again after their valiant attempts to help my cat. My vet was even texting me and letting me send pictures to him determine if she needed to come in or not. They are HANDS DOWN the best in Lafayette.

I am not sure if the total bill includes dog food or not.  I love them.  They are wonderful.  They do a very thorough exam on your animal; it is a head to toe assessment.  They don?t just check what you go in there for; they like to check the whole dog out from head to toe, even if you go in for a minor complaint.  I have been to other vets and I think they all are expensive.  My vet here even gave me his cell phone number and I am not the only client, I have other friends that he has given his number too.  I had called him, he is always very pleasant, and he is wonderful.

It was expensive because we had a lot done.  We would recommend about the hours and availability.  They are open till 7.30 in the night for three nights in a week, which is awesome.

Everyone is really nice there. They rub on them every time. They treat their patients like they are their own pets, which is awesome. They offer great customer service, whenever I call and I’m speaking all about my dog or my cats whoever has the problem; they are really nice on the phone. They have good hours; they are open up until 7:30. I work full time 8:00 to 5:00 so I can’t really call and take my dog to the vet. They offer appointments from 6:30 to 7:00 so I really get hours. I went to him last Wednesday, I paid $350; it was for Skin section and he had the whole bunch of skin scrapings and all his medicines and it was all inclusive. There are 2 different doctors, they are really nice and we know each other, and I get know what’s wrong with other’s dogs. I would rate them highly across the board. I would continue to use them in the future.

I'm not sure how much they charged me because I had to buy meds and it was for annual shots for the smaller ones and it's as expensive as the big ones.  I've been going to them for a year and a half to 2 years.  It's a little bit more expensive than the rest in town, but it's worth it.  They are excellent vets.  They are really good about being on call on weekends and after hours and things like that.

Lafayette Veterinary Care Center has been caring for our two rescued greyhounds for the last 5 years. They have been excellent in every way from the receptionists to the nurses and other caregivers to the individuals taking care of the boarding kennels. The doctors are compassionate and dedicated to their profession. I became very concerned about Giselle when I came home from a 4 day work trip and found that she had a severely swollen abdomen. When I brought her into the office the next day, Saturday morning, without an appointment she was seen immediately. Dr. Andy Plauche did an ultrasound that same morning to make sure she was not bleeding internally but found her belly was full of fluid not blood. We discussed options for diagnosing her problem and since I did not want to do exploratory surgery we decided to wait to see if the fluid would be absorbed on its own. I can not remember exactly how many times I brought her in or how often I called the doctors when the office was closed. Dr. Bordelon consulted with a number of other vets including one in Ohio who is considered to be the greyhound "guru" which I think was far beyond what I had any reason to expect. Eventually a diagnosis of liver failure was made and Dr. Bordelon educated me about how to medically manage the symptoms. When she stopped eating he told me how to make homemade food for her so she would eat, and she did. When we went on vacation I brought her homemade food to their kennel and he told me if she ran out of food he would make some himself. I called everyday while we were gone and the nurses and assistants and office workers were very understanding and gave me detailed reports on what was happening and how Giselle was doing. Dr. Bordelon called me to report on her health during the week too. We returned home and picked the dogs up from the kennel and Giselle seemed to be doing very well. We brought them home. Sometime that night something happened to Giselle, she was not able to walk without help and could no longer eat. Dr. Bordelon and I had discussed the fact that liver failure is terminal and that Giselle would probably not live very long but that we would keep treating her as long as she seemed to be happy and not in pain. That morning I knew what we had to do (I am getting all teary just thinking about it). I called the office and they told me to bring her in at about noon and that Dr. Bordelon would check her out to see if there was anything that could be done. We had to carry her in a blanket to put her in the car then the vet techs came out with a stretcher to bring her into the office. We did not have to wait. Dr. Bordelon checked her out and told me that the best gift we could give her would be to let her go. He gave her a sedative so she would be more relaxed and comfortable and left my husband and I with her to say our goodbyes. He came in later and asked if we were ready. I think we were all crying by that time. We talked to her the whole time. When it was over they did not rush us out but stayed and talked. They made an impression of her paw and gave it to us as something to remember her by. Dr. Bordelon even offered grief counseling (at no charge) if we needed it. Several days later we recieved a sympathy card signed by the entire staff with comments of support and sympathy. I will never forget how much the doctors and employees of this practice cared and supported us as we were dealing with this illness. The Lafayette Veterinary Care Center is an excellent facility, the doctors and employees are knowledgable, compassionate, caring, funny and flexible when they can be. I would recommend them to anyone and I thank them for all of their help. I will write about my other grey "Jinx" another time!

My miniature Dachshund, Sophie (my only "child") was treated by Dr. Marc Bordelon. The procedure could not be completed as planned due to unforseen physical issues. Dr. Bordelon was very appropriate, educational, compassionate and personable in explaining the problem. He relates to me as a medical professional (RN for 30 years) and I appreciate this, as many are not as respectful. I will continue using this center as I have had the opportunity to work with each of the 3 veterinarians there and couldn't be happier! All the support staff are equally professional, compassionate, and personable, also.

I've dealt with this clinic for several years, and have a lot of trust in the head vet, Dr. Andy Plauche. In the past, he's done excellent work on both my dogs, including fashioning dental braces for my Norwich a couple of years ago (the lower canines were growing straight up rather than in a V-shape the way they're supposed to and were on the verge of puncturing the roof of his mouth). Pepper wore the braces for about two months and now has perfect teeth! The breeder's vet had not even realized there was a problem. Although the price for today's visit actually wasn't bad, in general I have to say their prices are a little steep. That said, although I do whine a bit about the bills, I keep going back because I believe Plauche is one of the best vets in town and I'm not willing to risk lesser care for my boys just to save a few dollars. Lastly, there are two other vets in the clinic. One, whose name I can't even remember, I've only met in passing, so I offer no comment. The other, Angie Sanders, I dealt with several times last year. She's very pleasant and seems competent; however, she's lousy at follow through or returning calls, consequently, I no longer go to her. The clinic staff could not be nicer and all seem to truly love animals. What's more, Dr. Plauche and all the staff seem to fully understand that these are not just dogs, they are my kids. If you've ever been to a vet that didn't get that, you know that it's important. They even have expanded hours.
