"Thank you! It was our honor to serve you, and all of our customers! We appreciate your business!"
The work men took the valleys apart and installed new felt and shingles. I never saw them replace any decking or fascia in the leaking area, I asked if the area was rotten and they said it was in good shape. I asked if they found any other damaged spot on the eaves and I was told no and that everything looked fine. A couple of months later after a rain storm I found I still had the leak in the same place. I then checked the decking along the rest of the eave and found 4 more rotten spots.
I hired another contractor who replaced all the bad decking and rafter tails. They repaired all the leaks and only charged me $900.I called Jim Olivier's Roofing Louisiana and paid more because I didn't want to worry about the repair being poorly done. I thought because of their reputation it would be worth the money. I was wrong.
"This work was completed over 2 years ago. Our records indicate a sheet of plywood was changed, and the valleys re-worked, and shingles replaced. We do not have any record of you contacting our office for any leak or problem. Had we received information from you that there were issues, we would have gladly come out to address these issues. We stand behind our work, and we cannot fix what we are not aware of. It’s unfortunate that you paid more money for something we could have addressed."
Most of my questions to the supervisor on the job site were answered by will do what you want. I asked questions on issues that I did not know. I expected an answer from someone that has knowledge about roofing so I could choose the proper direction to go.
Example: After another will do what you want, the office was called and the office called the manufacture and the outcome was that I removed my original request. My question came from reading the package this item came in (in my case I shouldn't install them).
When the job was almost done the next line supervisor came to inspect the job and I informed him about how I feel about "Will do what you want" and he said that he will bring it up the chain.
Its a high price but the quality and the large crew is the best that I have seen.
"We were asked to quote a price to add additional ventilation to the existing ridge vent system to increase the flow of air in the attic, as part of a new roof estimate. This is an unusual application. The manufacturer recommendations for placement is different than what we intended to do. As a supplement system, we were concerned about air flow being interrupted and ineffective by placing the low profile vents much lower than the ridge vents. With low profile vents installed closer to the ridge vents, both systems would have drawn air from the soffit vents equally. We contacted the manufacturer who recommended that we install the ventilation system according to the instructions on the box. After speaking with the manufacturer we contacted [member name removed] and asked him what he wanted to do, being the homeowner, an engineer, and the final decision maker, we wanted his input. We appreciate any and all feedback. And we greatly appreciate [member name removed]' business and honesty. We strive for 100% satisfaction with all customers."
"Thank you very much for the feedback! We appreciate your business and your cooperation with our staff throughout the entire process.. We try very hard to make this process as painless as possible!! Thank you again for allowing my company to earn your business!"
"Thank you. We appreciate your feedback. This helps us improve daily, and we appreciate the opportunity to earn your business!"
The only other negative comment I have is in relation to the $200 in "additional work" due to "repairs" that became necessary (and I had agreed beforehand to such repairs). I would have felt better had I been shown the actual problem area (that was to be corrected). I did see the material bought to do so; but I felt it was not all used and that the remaining materials should belong to me - not the company.
But, overall, the company, personnel, and work done was all very good and I am well satisfied with the outcome.
Everything from start to finish went very well!!!
Very satisfied!!!!
The work was done on a timely manner, the workers cleaned up very well after. I just could not be happier with this company.
"Repairs in these areas are very complicated. We attempt every time to do it correctly, perform it in a timely manner, and keep the homeowner informed of any and all necessary changes. We DID return to fix the repair again, after it leaked when had previously completed the repair... Which is what a quality company should do! Even though we do not offer any warranty on repairs due to this complexity and the multitude of water entry areas, we still went back at no charge to the homeowner to complete the repair once more. We stand behind our word, our work, and most importantly.. Our Name!!"
that had been installed improperly. Was very pleased with the service as
well as the advice. Would gladly call on them for future jobs
"Thank you very much [member name remove] and God Bless!"
have found a few nails since the job, but overall, they left very little mess.
I would recommend them to anyone who needs roofing work.
