The interior designer informed me prior to providing the service that they may place a few things from their store in my home. She also said that they may not place any. I specifically told her that I wanted her to rearrange what I already had and I wanted her to declutter. I had a lot of nice things that only needed to be placed better. They spent a day in my home and the cost for that was approximately $750.00 (labor only). I was at not home while they worked. The result was pretty but they had placed much, much more than just a few things from their store in my home. It was obvious that their goal was to sell their merchandise. I asked how much all the things they staged added up to and she said she had no idea. That night my husband and I added it up to be in excess of $20,000! I called her the next day and told her that and she said that this is about what they normally put in homes (funny how the story changes). So, the bottom line is that I paid them by the hour to stage their merchandise in my home and if I don't purchase it and they remove it my house will look bare and emply because they removed a lot of my things (that were nice). They took a large vertical beautiful bird picture that I had and hung it in a hall and placed a large vertical bird picture (same size) from their store over my fireplace. They hung pictures in bathrooms behind doors. They put a very large expensive picture behind the door in my toilet closet. They place rugs every where, even in bedrooms over carpet. They also love to put fake greenery everywhere. I have seen other designs they have done and they all look the same. You can tell when it is their design mainly because of all the fake greenery. I ended up buying some things and taking pictures of the rest. I duplicated what I liked by purchasing things from discount stores like Hobby Lobby, TJ Max, etc.
