"Big Mike’s Handyman Service will neither refund $50 to the customer or go onsite to assess any on-going electrical problems at the customers home without proper payment. On the day of our service, our employee’s from Big Mike’s Handyman Service arrived at the customers home. The LivingSocial voucher did NOT state that “Big Mike” would be on the job himself, it was simply a deal for 2 hours of home repairs or handyman work performed by Big Mike’s Handyman Service to which we have many employees. Our company does NOT claim to be strictly licensed electricians nor do we advertise that we are licensed electricians. After completing the work at the customers house, she was asked if everything was done to her satisfaction to which she replied yes. It was only AFTER that she called claiming that a new issue was connected to the work that we did. Because we believed this claim to be false, we offered to come assess the problem and provide an estimate as per our protocol ($100 estimate fee waived if estimate is accepted and future work is completed). She declined. I believe that her request is unfitting because we did not even gain $50 for the two hours of work completed from her and LivingSocial. I would like to clarify that we do carry both Workman’s Compensation Insurance and General Liability Insurance and that we are registered with the Louisiana State Board of Contractors and that under those certifications we are able and licensed to perform minor electrical repairs, such as installing a ceiling fan and repairing an outlet as the customer requested. Her claims about our company are false."
