We could not have asked for a better job. He did better than we even anticipated. The cabinets and desk built in our laundry room were absolutely perfect and exactly what we wanted. We showed David a picture and he copied it perfectly. He communicated with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. He had a lot to do when putting in the stove. Cabinets and tile had to be cut out. Completed job was a professional installation that we are very happy with. We will without a doubt use David again and we feel very fortunate to have found him!!

Over all the job went well. Since it wasn't a critical repair I did not press for speed. Dave was ill when he bid the job and there was some delay there. The weather was a factor also. All things considered he did a good job and I will call him again for other projects.

Mr Ammons returned my call promptly and came out to looked at the job. I explained that the house was currently being painted and I needed to get the work done before the painters finished. He quoted me an estimate and stated that he would get started the upcoming weekend. He did the work in a timely manner as promised. He stayed in touch with me throughout the job and let me know when he found any issues. I will use him again in the future.

He did a good job but he never came back to finish the last little bit. There was one last little piece that he was supposed to come back and sand and paint but that didn't get done. However, his prices were, by far, the most reasonable.

Mr. Ammons was punctual, diligent, and thorough, and his work was very satisfactory. Moreover, his rates are, if anything, too low for the work he does. Everything we asked was done on time and well; he also fabricated some replacement flooring, from scratch, to replace warped boards (50-year-old original square parquet) we would never have been able to source. Not only would I be glad to hire him again, I'm looking for work we need done since he's a great worker and, frankly, charges less than he could.

The Sheetrock repair and the extended wall space was done very well and I am super pleased with the result. However,we were a little disappointed with the end result of the closets. Originally we were quoted for a more extensive closet reconfiguration, but due to our budget we decided to extend our wall and to have David reposition our hanging bars and to add some simple shelving in our small walk-in and a bathroom closet. I am happy with the configuration and all measurements are accurate. Most of the materials used for the project were reused shelving and poles from the closets which is perfectly fine, but after closer inspection we were disappointed with the quality of plywood that was purchased for the project. The wood that existed before is a higher quality and more finished look than what was added. We are going to add some dental molding to help everything look more finished. Also, when I began painting the closet space I also realized that caulking was done only in a few areas and the pin nail holes were not covered. I did this myself before painting.
To be fair, I did tell David that I was pleased with everything before he left, but I did not inspect as close as I should. I just assumed that this job would have the same quality that the first job he performed for us. Because I needed to get the closets finished and painted over that weekend, we did not contact David to talk to him about our concerns. We did change the original plan for the closet estimate and did negotiate a price that would fit in our budget. However, I did not realize that I would not get the same finished look that I got from the Sheetrock repair and closet removal project that he had performed before. He did not need to purchase a lot of materials for this project so I am not sure why the quality was not there.
Overall, his work is great and in the future we will be more clear about our expectations. This job took 3 days and he finished on time.

"We agreed to carpentry work. Customer preferred to do all painting herself. Carpentry work does not include nail fills and caulking and painter does this prior to painting. I went the extra mile on previous jobs because customer agreed on price. In addition, customer agreed to work on my computer. Work was never done. What was agreed on was completed by me. I added extra work at no cost for help with my computer. When called about computer, customer suggested harassment. I was told everything was fine before I left completed job."

My husband and I were very please with the quality of work that was performed on this project. Tearing out the closet really transformed the space and you would never know what was there before. The project did take longer than expected, we were originally told 3-4 days, but overall we were extremely pleased with the quality of work. He even rehung a door for us and did a good job cleaning up at the end of each day. The original estimate was for 835.00 and at the end we were billed for an extra 40.00 for wood stain. This was not a big deal, but I thought that we would have been informed of extra expenses before the incurred. Overall, the bedroom looks fantastic and we are very happy with the result.

David installed a wooden playset that was made in China. As you might guess, some of the starter holes for screws did not match up, some of the wooden slats were the wrong size, and some of the screws were wrong. The installation manual had different illustrations of how the finished product was to look. Several illustrations of the exact same area were different. For example, one showed slats on the inside of the sandbox area while the other showed the slats on the outside.
David had to improvise time and time again. He had to re-shape boards, drill starter holes that did not match, etc. He used good judgment and experience, and when he finished the play set was well-built, sturdy, and beautiful. He is a professional.

Mr. Ammon's was great to work with. He showed up on time & worked every day until the job was done. I could reach him at any time. He always answered his phone and was available to answer questions.

"Thank you for the opportunity to work with you. It was a pleasure. In addition to the work mentioned in review, we chiseled and removed parquet flooring. I repaired all stress cracks in slab floor. Removed door jams and case openings, removed chair rail and reinstalled correctly, caulked and painted. Ran all flooring throughout home. Re-hung and repaired all bi-fold doors. All dents were repaired in drywall and repainted. Homeowner and renter were pleased with the job. I would work with customer anytime. David came and spent time locating the problem. I had the bid within two days. He was very patient in working around my schedule. The work was done in two days and all debris was gone.
