My toy poodle, who has always been anxious, needs to be sedated in order to be groomed. Therefore, I must use a vet who also has a groomer. In addition, I've used this vet clinic for regular services for years. The last time that I brought my dog to get groomed, I decided to have her teeth cleaned at the same time so that she would only have to be sedated once. Sedation is always risky, especially for an older dog, and mine is 16 1/2 years old. However, the clinic uses gas sedation and carefully monitors the animals. The vet is there, as well as the groomer. They also monitor the dog after it is waking up from sedation, and make sure it is fine before letting you pick it up. I trust the clinic, the workers, and the vet with my elderly animal because they are professional, they communicate with the owners, and they are loving toward the animals.
